HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-11-12-81MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING NOVEMBER 12, 1981 The special meeting of the Board of Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 P.M. on November 12, 1981. Board member Fred Swift was present. Also present was City Attorney, John Pearce and Clerk-Treasurer. Approval of Mayor's signature on Closing Memorandum, Indpls. Water Company Facility Purchase - Mr. Swift made a motion to approve the Mayor's signature on the closing memorandum for the purchase of the Indianapolis Water Company facility. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. Claim approval for IWC purchase - Mr. Swift made a motion to approve the claim to Indianapolis Water Company in the amount of $500,000.00. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. Permission to petition Public Service Commission for Rate Increase - Mayor Reiman stated the City would need to apply for permission to sell bonds and for a rate increase to the Public Service Commission. Mr. McCullough stated the filing of the petition would get the City on the agenda for a hearing and should be done as soon as possible. Mr. Swift made a motion to file a petition with the Public Service Commission for a rate increase and authorize the Mayor to act as signatory for the Petition. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same was duly adjourned at 5:55 P.M. APPROVED: Jane A.
