HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-05-27-81MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING MAY 27, 1981 The meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 pm on May 27, 1981. Board members Billy Walker and Fred Swift were present as was City Attorney John Pearce and Clerk-Treasurer. Mr. Swift made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 11, 1981 meeting. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously. Old Business Bid Award - Fire Station #4 - Mr. Walker made a motion to award the bid to TetraCor, Inc. and Fineberg & Assoc. in the amount of $235,000. Motion seconded by Mr.Swift and passed unanimously. New Business Availability - Water/Sewer (a) Mohawk Landing - Mr. Welch explained that this was no additional usage. Mr. Walker made a motion to approve 640 gallons per day or 3.2. EDU's of sewer connection per Ordinance S-36, Section 5. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed with two ayes, Mr. Swift abstaining. (b) Carmel Car Wash - Mr. Welch stated this was an addition to service being provided now and was stated on his letter as EDU's only. Mr. Walker made a motion to approve an additional 8.3 EDU's of water per Ordinance A-51, Section 4 and 16.64 EDU's of sewer per Ordinance S-36, Section 5 with Mr. Dougherty converting the EDU's into gallons per day. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift and passed unanimously. (c) Day Care Center - Mr. Swift made a motion to approve 1200 gallons or 6 EDU's of sewer per Ordinance S-36, Section 5 and 3 EDU's for water per Ordinance A-51, Section 4 for First Trailmark Day Care Center. Motions seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously.
