HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-02-17-82MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING FEBRUARY 17,1982 The meeting of the Board of Works was called to order by Mayor Jane Reiman at 4:30 P.M. on Feb. 17, 1982. Board members Fred Swift and Billy Walker were present as was the Clerk-Treasurer. Mayor Reiman made a motion to reduce claim #424 to Delello Electric by $40.04 due to a bill to Steck in that amount which was incurred due to a mistake by Delello. The motion stated that we should then pay Steck from the amount deducted from Delello. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift and passed unanimously. Mayor Reiman made a motion to add the Steck bill to the docket so it could be paid this month and approve claims numbered 360 to 802. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift and passed unanimously. Dog Pound Contract - Mr. Swift made a motion to enter an agreement with Noblesville for dog pound services. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously. Approval of Police Officers - Chief Lowe requested the approval of permanent and reserve police officers for the Police Department. Mr. Swift made a motion to approve Richard Reed, Robert Nibarger and Tim Green as permanent officers in the police department. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously. Mr. WaLker made a motion to approve Donald O. Peters and Bruce Graham as reserve police officers. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. Chief Lowe presided over the swearing in ceremonies for the above officers. Approval of Appointment of Juvenile Officer - Mr. Swift made a motion to approve the appointment of Steve Overly as juvenile officer for the police department. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same was duly adjourned at 5:10 P.M.
