FOR PERMITTING AND CONSTRUCTION
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES FOR THIS PROJECT:
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS CONSIST OF THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS
ON THE DRAWINGS. THE INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IS TO
INCLUDE ITEMS NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER EXECUTION OF THE WORK.
THE CONTROLLING CODE FOR ALL WORK UNDER THESE DRAWINGS SHALL BE
THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE 2014 WITH INDIANA AMENDMENTS, ALL IN
THEIR CURRENT ADDITIONS.
THE CONTROLLING DOCUMENT FOR ALL WORK UNDER THESE DRAWINGS
SHALL BE THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION,
AIA (AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS) DOCUMENT A201, CURRENT
EDITION. AGREEMENT BY ANY PARTY TO WORK UNDER THIS CONTROLLING
DOCUMENT SHALL COMMENCE WITH THE START OF ANY WORK DESCRIBED
WITHIN THESE DOCUMENTS.
THE ARCHITECT SHALL FILE FOR STATE PLAN REVIEW AND PROVIDE A RELEASE
FOR USE IN OBTAINING LOCAL PERMITS. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL
FILE DRAWINGS OR OTHER MATERIALS FOR PERMIT APPLICATION AT THE
LOCAL LEVEL AND SECURE ALL NECESSARY BUILDING PERMITS. SUB-
CONTRACTORS TO THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
OBTAINING THEIR OWN LOCAL PERMITS.
PRIOR TO COMMENCING ACTIVITIES, EACH CONTRACTOR AND MATERIAL
SUPPLIER SHALL CAREFULLY STUDY AND COMPARE THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS AND BECOME FULLY AWARE OF THE REQUIREMENTS. EACH
CONTRACTOR AND MATERIAL SUPPLIER SHALL TAKE FIELD MEASUREMENTS
AND VERIFY FIELD CONDITIONS AND SHALL CAREFULLY COMPARE SUCH
MEASUREMENTS AND CONDITIONS WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
IN THE EVENT OF INCONSISTENCIES WITHIN OR BETWEEN THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, EACH CONTRACTOR OR MATERIAL SUPPLIER SHALL PROVIDE THE
BETTER QUALITY OR GREATER QUANTITY OF THE WORK, AND SHALL COMPLY
WITH THE STRICTER REQUIREMENT. INCONSISTENCIES DISCOVERED SHALL BE
IMMEDIATELY REPORTED TO THE ARCHITECT IN WRITING.
NO PLEAS OF IGNORANCE RESULTING FROM FAILURE TO EXAMINE THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS OR THE CONDITIONS UNDER
WHICH THE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED WILL BE ACCEPTED AS AN EXCUSE
FOR FAILURE OR OMISSION ON THE PART OF EACH CONTRACTOR AND
MATERIAL SUPPLIER TO FULFILL IN EVERY RESPECT ALL REQUIREMENTS OF
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
VERIFY THAT SURFACES TO RECEIVE MATERIALS ARE IN A CONDITION TO
ACCOMMODATE INSTALLATION. IMMEDIATELY REPORT TO THE ARCHITECT ANY
ARCHITECT / ENGINEER NOTIFICATION:
IF THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR DISCOVERS CONDITIONS THAT ARE NOT
SUBSTANTIALLY LIKE THE ARCHITECT’S DRAWINGS, THE ARCHITECT OR
ENGINEER SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED.
THIS NOTIFICATION RELATES TO ALL PARTS OF THIS PROJECT, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO DISCOVERED SOIL CONDITIONS, INAPPROPRIATE OR NON-
SPECIFIED PRODUCTS DELIVERED AND/OR INSTALLED ON SITE, OR ANY
QUESTION REGARDING POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF CODES OR ORDINANCE
STANDARDS.
PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK SHALL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE BY THE
GENERAL CONTRACTOR OF THE EXISTING CONDITIONS, AND THAT THE
PROJECT CAN BE BUILT STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND MEETING LOCAL CODES.

DISCREPANCIES OR ERRORS WHICH WOULD RESULT IN POOR APPLICATION OR
CAUSE LATENT DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP. IF A CONTRACTOR OR SUB-
CONTRACTOR PROCEEDS WITH INSTALLATION OF MATERIALS OVER ANOTHER
CONTRACTOR'S WORK, IT SHALL BE ASSUMED THAT THE CONTRACTOR OR SUB-
CONTRACTOR ACCEPTS THE WORK TO RECEIVE HIS MATERIAL.
ALL LABOR, CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, PROVIDED AND INSTALLED TO
COMPLETE THE WORK OF THESE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS SHALL BE EXECUTED
IN COMPLETE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL CODES,
PRACTICES OR ORDINANCES AND WITHIN THE CONSTRAINTS OF THE HIGHEST
ACCEPTABLE CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES.
UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, OBTAIN ALL FINAL INSPECTIONS AS
REQUIRED BY THE LOCAL JURISDICTIONS AND FURNISH OWNER WITH
EVIDENCE OF ALL SUCH INSPECTIONS AND CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY, IF
ISSUED BY THE JURISDICTION.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE REASONABLE SUPERVISION AND
COORDINATION OF ALL SUB-CONTRACTORS WORK INCLUDING WORK
PERFORMED BY OTHERS SUCH AS SUPPLIERS OF OWNER-SUPPLIED ITEMS.
UPON COMPLETION OF PROJECT, PROVIDE OWNER WITH ALL INSTRUCTION
MANUALS, WARRANTIES OR OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE PROPER
OPERATION OR MAINTENANCE OF ANY PART OF THE CONTRACTOR'S WORK.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY PROTECTION
AND SECURITY MEANS FOR HIS WORK UNTIL TURNED OVER TO THE OWNER. IF
THE PROJECT AREA IS TO BE USED BY EMPLOYEES OR THE PUBLIC DURING
CONSTRUCTION, FULLY PROTECT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE, CONSTRUCT
BARRIERS AND FENCING, AND PROVIDE APPROPRIATE SIGNAGE TO PROTECT
THESE PERSONS.
THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN MINIMUM GENERAL
LIABILITY INSURANCE. THE FRANCHISEE, FRANCHISER, AND THE ARCHITECTS
SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS AGAINST ALL GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIMS THAT MAY
RESULT AS A PART OF THIS PROJECT.
SOILS:
OTHERS HAVE CHOSEN TO NOT TEST SOILS FOR THIS PROJECT, NOR MAKE
SOIL DATA AVAILABLE TO THE ARCHITECT. THE ARCHITECT SHALL BE HELD
HARMLESS FOR ANY COMMON SOIL FAILURES SUCH AS FAILURE OF
COMPACTION; DENSITY FAILURE; GENERAL SOIL SHEAR OR SHRINKAGE;
SETTLEMENT FAILURE; SLOPE FAILURE; FLOW SLIDE FAILURE; MOVEMENTS
CAUSED BY EXPANISIVE OR HIGHLY PLASTIC SOILS; OR ANY OTHER COMMONY
ANALYIZED SOIL FAILURES.

REINFORCING. MINIMUM LENGTHS OF EACH LEG TO BE 45 BAR DIAMETERS.
BACKFILL AGAINST BOTH SIDES OF WALLS EQUALLY UNTIL THE LOWER
ELEVATION IS ATTAINED. BRACE ALL FOUNDATION WALLS BEFORE
BACKFILLING AND COMPACTING.
PROVIDE LEAN CONCRETE (CLASS IV) UNDER FOUNDATIONS FOR ACCIDENTAL
OVER-EXCAVATION, SOFT SPOTS, AND TRENCHES.
BUILT-IN WORK:
INSTALL ALL ANCHORS, INSERTS, NOSINGS, REGLETS AND LIKE ITEMS
FURNISHED BY OTHER TRADES FOR INSTALLATION IN CONCRETE WORK. ALL
BUILT-IN ITEMS SHALL BE IN PROPER
LOCATION AND SHALL BE SO MAINTAINED DURING THE PERFORMANCE OF

SLEEVES, CONDUITS, PIPES AND LIKE ITEMS PASSING THROUGH FLOORS,
WALLS, OR BEAMS SHALL BE OF SUCH SIZE OR IN SUCH LOCATION AS NOT TO
IMPAIR UNDULY THE STRENGTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
VAPOR BARRIER PLACEMENT:
USE A CONCRETE MIXTURE WITH AN ADEQUATE CEMENT FACTOR - MINIMUM OF
5 1/2 BAGS PER CUBIC YARD. USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF AIR-ENTRAINMENT IN
THE MIXTURE TO REDUCE BLEEDING - ABOUT 3% TO 5% AIR. EXTERIOR
CONCRETE SHALL HAVE 5 1/2% AIR. PLACE CONCRETE AT LOWEST PRACTICAL
SLUMP. A WATER-REDUCING ADMIXTURE MAY BE USED TO LOWER THE MIX
WATER CONTENT, IF USED STRICTLY ACCORDING TO WRITTEN
MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS.
PERIMETER INSULATION:
A TOTAL OF FOUR FEET WIDTH OF PERIMETER INSULATION SHALL BE PUT IN
PLACE. THIS CAN BE A COMBINATION OF HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL RIGID

This section includes windows and entrance systems.
Basis of Design and Standards:
Aluminum Framing Systems: Kawneer TRIFAB VG (VERSA GLAZE) 451,

Note: Interior and one exterior door are part of this work.

Installation shall be complete as intended for building use.
Protect work from damage during entire course of construction.
Install all storefront and entrance units plumb, level, and true to line without warp
or rack of frames or sash with manufacturer’s prescribed tolerances.
Weathertight Construction: Install sill members and other members in a bed of
sealant or with joint filler or gaskets, to provide weathertight construction.
Coordinate installation with wall flashings and other components of construction.
Provide support and anchor in place.
Provide all required accessories for a complete installation.
Adjust swing doors for operation in accordance with manufacturer’s written
instructions.
Clean in accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions. Remove temporary
coverings and protection of adjacent work areas. Repair or replace damaged
installed products.
Warranties:
Frames Warranty: Two (2) years from Date of Substantial Completion.
Submit manufacturer’s standard written warranty for Owner’s acceptance.
Insulating Glass: Warranted to be free from defects (excluding breakage) for a
period of five (5) years.
Submit standard written warranty for Owner’s acceptance.

WALK-IN COOLER SPECIFICATIONS:
Refrigeration
A) Walk-in Refrigerator and Freezer Construction
1) General: Each panel shall consist of inner and outer metal skins, a 4” insulation
core, and be equipped with cam-action locking devices. The locking devices
shall be operable from inside the walk-in. Construction shall be as approved by
the NSF International and shall bear the NSF® Seal of Approval. All panels
shall be connected to one another by placing the tongue of the insulation core
of one panel into the groove of the core insulation of the adjacent panel. The
resultant tongue and groove joint shall be sealed at both sides by double
barreled NSF® approved gaskets. In order to avoid future swelling and mold
formation, no wood shall be permitted in the manufacture of the tongue and
groove panel profile.
(a) Wall Panels: Panel insulation shall be 4” thick, high quality, extruded
polystyrene or foamed-in-place polyurethane, modular panels joined by
not less than three (3) cam-lock devices; gasket to seal between panels;
R-28 or greater for refrigerators and R-32 or greater for freezers.
(b) Ceiling: Panel insulation shall be 4” thick, high quality, extruded
polystyrene or foamed-in-place polyurethane, modular panels joined by
not less than three (3) cam-lock devices; gasket to seal between panels;
R-28 or greater for refrigerators and R-32 or greater for freezers.
(a) Sloped Roof Package: When specified. For use on walk-ins
installed outdoors. May be required at certain snow loads. In order
to form a sloped roof profile, suitable quantities of sloped foam shall
be provided. The foam shall be cut in a manner that upon
installation, a ¼”:1’ slope is obtained. The membrane roof shall be
increased in size appropriately, in order to provide the additional
material required to properly cover the resultant profile.
(b) Roof panels shall be rated to withstand up to 90 mph winds.
(c) Finishes:

be flush mounted, positioned and hinged; provided with suitable sweep and
magnetic gaskets, door closer, one pre-wired vapor proof light fixture, light
switch with pilot light, dial thermometer, manual internal lock override, chrome
plated cam lift hinges, chrome plated door latches with strike.
(i) Outdoor Units: Doors on outdoor walk-ins shall have weather protected
light switch and door drip cap.
(ii) Freezer Doors: Freezer doors shall be identical to cooler doors, but
with the addition of UL approved heater wire on all four sides. Freezer
doors shall include a heated pressure relief port in the adjacent panel.
(b) Thermometer: See item specification for thermometers required for this
project: Thermometer installed flush-mount on hinge side of door panel.
(c) Digital Thermometer (optional): 3” round digital thermometer with probe,
installed flush-mount on hinge side of door panel.
(d) Digital Thermometer with Alarm (optional): Specifications available.
3) Pressure Relief Port: Provide heated relief port in freezers.
4) Lights: Per owner’s requirements.
(a) Fluorescent: 4’ vapor proof; optional per customer specification.
(b) Incandescent: Single bulb, vapor proof; installed on door panel.
(c) LED: Single bulb or 4’ vapor proof; optional per customer specification.
5) Installation: Dealer to install walk-in units.
(a) Drawings and Instructions: Manufacturer shall supply a set of installation
instructions and lay-out drawing. All panels shall have panel identification
corresponding with the lay-out drawing to facilitate rapid and accurate field
erection.
B) Refrigeration System: Complete operating system consisting of a condensing unit
and a evaporator coil.
1) Condensing Unit:
General: Condenser fan motors of under 1 h.p. must use electronically commutated
(EC) motors or permanent split capacitator-type (PSP) motors; splash lubrication
system using Mobil EAL Arctic 22 polyester synthetic refrigeration oil; oil sight glass;
removable oil drain plug; label indicating oil used;
(a) high/low pressure control; suction line filter; suction and discharge service
valves and copper/brass vibration isolators; receiver with fusible plug or
relief valve; liquid line shut-off valve; sight glass; molecular sieve filter
dryer; main power supply fused disconnect switch
(b) Outdoor: Weather proof housing; crank case heater and low ambient
temperature controls required to insure proper and efficient operation; fan
cycling controls where ambient temperatures do not fall below -15°; head
master valve and oversized, heated, insulated receiver and lines where
ambient temperatures fall below -15°F.
2) Evaporator Coil: Forced convection style; match to condensing unit and
suspend with air discharged parallel to the ceiling; lifetime sealed motors with
inherent motor protection; evaporator fan motors of under 1 hp and less than
460 volts must use electronically commutated (EC) motors; enclose coil section
and fans within aluminum housing
(a) Refrigerator: Air defrost
(b) Freezer and Low Temperature Refrigerator: Electric heater and controls
for positive automatic defrost
(c) Installation: Hang using plastic or nylon fasteners; spread coil weight
evenly over ceiling panels; support long span ceiling panels as required.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Any additional work such as canopies, overhangs, sunshades or other
architectural features requiring structural decisions and not certified by Gordon
Clark must be indicated on shop drawings certified by a professional engineer
licensed to practice in the state of Indiana.
STRUCTURAL STEEL:
Structural steel detailing, fabrication and erection shall conform to the AISC
“Specification for the Design, Fabrication, and Erection of Structural Steel for
Buildings” latest edition with amendments, and the current AISC “Code of
Standard Practice for Steel Buildings”.
Structural steel tubes and pipe shapes shall conform to ASTM A500 Grade 46.
Structural steel rolled shapes, except plates and angles, shall conform to
ASTM A500 Grade 45.
Anchor bolts shall conform to ASTM F1554 Grade 36, unless otherwise noted.
Erector shall maintain adequate temporary bracing in each direction until
diaphragm and lateral brace construction is completed.
Unless otherwise noted, bolted connections for structural steel members shall
be made with ¾” diameter high strength steel bolts conforming to ASTM A325.
Except as noted, bolted connections shall be tightened to the snug tight
condition. Bolted connections where used in brace elements shall be tightened
using the turn-of-nut condition. Connections shall conform to the “Specification
for Structural Joints using ASTM A325 or A490 Bolts”, approved by the
Research Council on Structural Connections of the Engineering Foundation.
Welding procedures shall conform to the latest edition of the American Welding
Society’s “Structural Welding Code for Steel ANSI / AWS D1.1”, Reinforcing
Steel ANSI / AWS D1.4, and Steet Steel ANSI / AWS D1.3”.
Splicing of structural steel members where not detailed on the Contract
Documents is prohibited without the prior approval of the architect as to
location, type of splice and connection to be made.
Surfaces within 2 inches of any field weld shall be free of materials that would
prevent proper welding or produce toxic fumes while welding is being done.
Beams shall be cambered upward unless indicated otherwise.
Structural steel shall be shop-painted with a rust inhibiting primer. Steel that
shall be exposed to the weather shall receive one additional finish coat.
Field measure steel prior to fabrication as often as possible.
Shop drawings shall be reviewed by the Architect for design concepts
expressed in the Contract Documents only. The Contractor shall be
responsible for all dimensions, accuracy, and fit of work.

D. Fabricate system components so that portions of screen can be
dismantled for repairs to equipment being screened and for

PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
A. If preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify
Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
B. Do not begin installation until conditions have been properly
prepared.

touchup or similar minor repair procedures.

Structural Performance: Provide pre-engineered canopies capable of
withstanding the effects of gravity loads and the following loads and stresses
within limits and under conditions indicated for the specific location where
Canopy will be installed:
1.2 Uniform pressure as indicated on drawings - minimum design wind load
per ASCE 7, CH. 6.
Thermal Movements: Provide pre-engineered canopies that allow for thermal
movements resulting from the following maximum change (range) in ambient
and surface temperatures by preventing buckling, opening of joints,
overstressing of components, failure of joint sealants, failure of connections,
and other detrimental effects. Base engineering calculation on surface
temperatures of materials due to both solar heat gain and nighttime-sky heat
loss.
1.3 Temperature Change (Range): 120 degrees F (67 degrees C), ambient;
180 degrees F (100 degrees C), material surfaces.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Welding: Qualify procedures and personnel according to the following:
1.4 Welding shall be in accordance with AWS D1.1 (with E70XX
electrodes).
1.5 Steel shop connections shall be welded and field connections shall be
bolted (unless otherwise noted on the Drawings). Shop welds may be
changed to field welds with the approval of the project engineer.
1.6 Slag shall be cleaned from welds and inspected. Steel shall be painted

Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for
installation.
Protect components and accessories from corrosion, deformation, damage,
and deterioration when stored at job site. Keep materials free from dirt and
foreign matter.
PROJECT CONDITIONS
Field Measurements: The Contractor shall verify location and elevation of
footings relative to finished grade, columns, and other construction
contiguous with pre-engineered metal canopies by field measurements
before fabrication and indicate measurements on shop drawings.
1.7 Established Dimensions: The Contractor shall, where field
measurements cannot be made without delaying the work, establish
dimensions and proceed with fabricating metal canopies without field
measurements. Contractor is responsible to coordinate footer locations
and elevations with any interferences with or attachments to abutting
structures.
PART 2 -- MATERIALS
Structural Steel:
1.8 Material and work shall conform to the latest AISC 360.
1.9 Structural steel shall be painted with a rust inhibitive (red oxide) primer
(std).

DOMESTIC WATER HEATING:
PROVIDE GAS FIRED STORAGE WATER HEATER COMPLETE WITH POWER
BURNER OR ELECTRIC WATER HEATER TO SIZE REQUIRED. TANK SHALL BE
CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASME CODE, STAMPED AND TESTED.

HIGHER THAN ANY PORTION OF BUILDING WITHIN 10 FEET.
ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS:
STRICTLY COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF UNIFORM FEDERAL
ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS (UFAS), THE ADA, AND IBC, INDIANA CODE CHAPTER
11. PROVIDE RAISED SEAT FOR THE ACCESSIBLE WATER CLOSETS, PROVIDE

THE ROOFTOP UNITS SHALL BE FACTORY PACKAGED WITH
CIRCULATING FAN, GAS-FIRED HEATING SECTION AND AIR-COOLED
REFRIGERATION SECTION. UNIT SHALL BE ROOF CURB MOUNTED.
UNIT SHALL BE RATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARI STANDARDS 270 AND
360 AND TESTED AND CERTIFIED BY UL OR ETL TO CONFORM TO
APPLICABLE ANSI STANDARDS.
A WALL MOUNTED SPACE THERMOSTAT SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH
THE UNIT.
THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND FURNACE HEAT EXCHANGERS
SHALL CARRY A FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY.
PROVIDE CONDENSATE DRAINAGE PIPING FROM THE DRAIN PAN WITH A
4” DEEP TRAP AND CLEANOUT.
THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE POWER WIRING THRU A
FUSED DISCONNECT SWITCH ON ONE SET OF POWER TERMINALS IN
EACH UNIT. ALL OTHER POWER AND CONTROL WIRING REQUIRED FOR
THE COMPLETION OF THE SYSTEM SHALL BE FURNISHED AND
INSTALLED BY THE HVAC CONTRACTOR. ALL WIRING BY ANY
CONTRACTOR SHALL MEET OR EXCEED ALL STATE AND LOCAL CODES
AND ORDINANCES.
INSTALL A LOCAL DISCONNECT WITHIN THE LINE OF SIGHT OF TO ALL
PERMANENTLY CONNECTED ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT. THIS CAN ALSO
INCLUDE CONDENSERS FOR COOLER UNITS AND HOOD INTAKE AND
EXHAUST FANS.
PROVIDE A RECEPTACLE WITHIN 25 FEET OF THE ROOFTOP UNITS. IT
SHALL BE GFIC PROTECTED. THE GFIC TESTING THE TRIPPING RESET
SHOULB BE READILY ACCESSIBLE FOR SERVICING OF ROOFTOP
EQUIPMENT. PROVIDE “WHILE-IN-USE” WEATHERPROOF COVERS FOR
RECEPTACLES INSTALLED IN A WET LOCATION SO THAT THE
RECEPTACLE REMAINS WATERTIGHT WHILE A CORD IS PLUGGED IN.
MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS:
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS CONSIST OF THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS ON THE
DRAWINGS. THE INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IS TO INCLUDE ITEMS NECESSARY
FOR THE PROPER EXECUTION OF THE WORK.
NEW CONSTRUCTION SHALL CONFORM TO ALL APPLICABLE CITY, STATE AND LOCAL BUILDING
CODES AND NFPA CODES FOR THIS CLASS OF WORK.
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS, INSPECTIONS AND
LICENSES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THIS INSTALLATION AND THE SATISFACTORY OPERATION
OF THE SYSTEM.
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS AT THE
JOBSITE. IF DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE NOTIFIED
BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY WORK OR ORDERING ANY EQUIPMENT OR MATERIAL IN THE
AFFECTED AREA.
FIT AND QUANTITY OF THE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS TO BE INSTALLED, WITH THE VARIOUS
NECESSARY PARTS AND MATERIALS TO MAKE A COMPLETE AND FINISHED JOB, SHALL BE
VERIFIED AND COORDINATED PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION AND ARE THE EXCLUSIVE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.
THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE HIS WORK WITH OTHER TRADES AND
VERIFY ALL POWER AND DRAINS ARE PROVIDED AND IN THE PROPER LOCATION.
ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL BE INSTALLED PER THE MANUFACTURER'S SUGGESTED
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS IN A NEAT AND WORKMANLIKE MANNER.
MECHANICAL DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC AND MUST BE FIELD VERIFIED FOR EXACT
ROUTING AND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT OR DEVICES NECESSARY FOR COMPLETE JOB.
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL CONTACTORS, RELAYS AND THERMOSTATS.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL SWITCHES AND DISCONNECTS.
THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLETE TEMPERATURE CONTROL WIRING.
PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY HANGERS, FASTENERS, CLIPS AND OTHER DEVICES REQUIRED FOR A
COMPLETE JOB.

USE UNISTRUT-TYPE SUPPORT MATERIALS RATED FOR WEIGHT OF THE UNITS. CONNECT TO
STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS. NO CONNECTIONS TO ROOFING MATERIALS SHALL BE ALLOWED.

ALL MAIN DUCTS SHALL BE GALVANIZED STEEL WRAPPED WITH FOIL-BACK INSULATION OR
DUCT BOARD. INSTALL PER SMACNA STANDARDS. TURNING VANES SHALL BE INSTALLED AT
ELBOWS LARGER THAN 12" X 12".
ALL METAL DUCTWORK SHALL BE FABRICATED FROM GALVANIZED SHEET STEEL OF GAUGES,
