SPECIAL BOARD OF WORKS MEETING
JULY 30, 1983
Mayor Reiman called the special meeting of the Board of Works to
order at 8:00 A.M. on July 30, 1983 with Board member Walker and
Clerk-Treasurer Hancock present. Also present were Mike Mundy
C.L.U., David Resley C.L.U. and Bob Ferrin C.L.U.
Mayor Reiman thanked Mr. Mundy, Mr. Resley and Mr. Ferrin as well
as the committee of the Council, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. McMullen and Mr.
Walker for their time and efforts expended in arriving at a
recommendation to the Board for the City health insurance.
Mr. Walker made a motion that the Board transfer the City health
insurance from Blue Cross/Blue Shield to Lincoln National Life
Insurance based upon the recommendation of the Council committee.
Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously.
Mayor Reiman made a motion that the transfer be made effective
September 1, 1983. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed
unanimously.
Mr. Walker suggested that a letter be sent from the City thanking
Mr. Resley, Mr. Mundy and Mr. Ferrin for their expertise and time
expended. Mr. Walker also stated that it was his understanding that
these three men would continue as consultants to review the health
insurance benefits and rates on a regular basis.
Mayor reiman requested that the Clerk-Treasurer send a letter of
notification to Blue Cross/Blue Shield stating we would be
canceling their coverage effective August 31, 1983.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
same was duly adjourned at 8:25 P.M.
