HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-04-11-83MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING APRIL 11, 1983 The meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 P.M. on April 11, 1983. Board members Billy Walker and Fred Swift were present. Also present was City Attorney, Dave Coots and Clerk-Treasurer, Dottie Hancock. Mayor Reiman made a motion to approve the minutes of March 16 and March 28. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift. Minutes of March 16 approved unanimously with Mr. Walker abstaining on minutes of March 28 since he was not present at that meeting. New Business Vacation of City Street - Mr. Bill Wiggam appeared before the Board to request formal vacation of a city street platted as South Street. The road has never been built and adjacent property owners have maintained the property. The plat calls for an east-west road between Rangeline Road and 1st Avenue S.E. between Bandy Center and the Wilson Building. Mr. Swift made a motion to vacate the road platted as South Street and notify the adjacent property owners. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously. Mayor Reiman instructed Attorney Coots to see that the proper legal papers were prepared. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same was duly adjourned at 4:45 P.M.
