HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-12-04-85MINUTES OF THE OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING DECEMBER 4, 1985 The meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:34 P.M. on December 4, 1985. Board member Fred Swift, City Attorney Andrews and Asst. Clerk -Treasurer Hiatt were present. Mr. Swift made a motion to approve the minutes of November 20, 1985. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. New Business Permission to Close Street for Tree Lighting Ceremonies - The Board was in receipt of a request from Susie Cunningham, Lumberyard Mall, asking permission to close Main Street from SW from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Thursday Dec. 5, 1985, for "Christmas in Bethlehem" tree lighting ceremonies. Mayor Reiman made a motion to close Main Street from Rangeline Rd. west to 2nd Ave. SW from 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. for the tree lighting ceremonies. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift and passed unanimously. Bid Opening - Carmel Civic Square, Phase I - Mr. Don Silvey of HNTB assisted in opening the bids for Phase I, Carmel Civic Square, which read as follows: (see attached Bid Tabulation Sheet) Mr. Walker arrived at this point. Mr. Swift made a motion that Mr. Silvey take the bids under advisement and come back at the next regular meeting, Dec. 18, with a recommendation. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. A representative of MacDougall & Pierce Constr. Co. asked to go on record that the Alternate Nos. 5, 6 & 7 in his bid are deducts.
