CARMEL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
NOVEMBER 11, 1985
The meeting of the Carmel City Council was called to order by Mayor
Reiman at 7:00 P.M. on Nov. 11, 1985, with Council members Miller,
McMullen, Doane, Fleming and Johnson present. Also present was City
Attorney Andrews and Clerk-Treasurer Hancock.
Mayor Reiman congratulated Chuck Koeppen, Coach of the Cross-
Country teams and the boys team who finished second The Mayor read
a Resolution for the girls cross-country team who won the State
Championship.
New Business
Ordinance S-47 - Sewer Refunding Bond - Mr. Johnson made a motion
to introduce Ordinance S-47. Motion seconded by Miss Doane. Mr.
Roger Umbaugh from H.J. Umbaugh and Associates reviewed the figures
and savings on the refunding bonds. Mr. Gary Malone from H.J.
Umbaugh, Mr. Steve Kahl from Merrill Lynch and Mr. George Gavit
from Ice, Miller, Donadio and Ryan were present. Following
discussion, Mr. Johnson made a motion to suspend the rules and act
on Ordinance S- 47 this evening. Motion seconded by Mrs. McMullen
and passed unanimously. Vote was taken on Ordinance S-47 which
passed unanimously.
Other Business
Mayor Reiman explained the construction on Main Street had run into
clay soil and needed additional work and thus a need for more money
on the project. Following discussion, the Council agreed to an
additional appropriation for the additional costs. The Clerk-
Treasurer will publish the necessary notices.
Miss Doane asked about the sale of the old Imperial Station on
South Rangeline. Mayor Reiman stated it had been sold to an auto
leasing company and the underground tanks had been filled.
There being no further business to come before the meeting the same
was duly adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
