CARMEL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
NOVEMBER 18, 1985
The meeting of the Carmel City Council was called to order by Mayor
Reiman at 7:00 P.M. on Nov. 18, 1985, with Council members Miller,
McMullen, Doane, Garretson, Johnson and Fleming present. Also
present was City Attorney Andrews and Clerk-Treasurer Hancock.
Mayor Reiman introduced Indiana Teacher of the Year Bernard Barcio
and presented him with a key to the City, a Resolution from the
City Council and a T-shirt. Mr. Barcio thanked the Council for the
recognition and introduced four Latin students. Mr. Dale Graham
principal of Carmel High School and Mr. Garretson commented on the
fine job Mr. Barcio has done and congratulated him.
Mayor Reiman introduced Jim Martin, Assistant Fire Chief and
commended him on twenty years of service to the City. Chief Couts
spoke to the meeting commending Asst. Chief Martin. Mayor Reiman
presented Jim with a T-shirt.
New Business
Public Hearing - Ordinance D-458 - Additional Appropriation -
Revenue Sharing - Police Dept Mr. Garretson made a motion to
introduce Ordinance D-458 and dispense with the reading of same.
Motion seconded by Miss Doane. Mayor Reiman opened the meeting for
public hearing. There being no one to speak on the appropriation,
the public hearing was then closed. Mrs. McMullen made a motion to
suspend the rules and act on Ordinance D-458 this evening. Motion
seconded by Miss Doane and passed unanimously. Vote was taken on
Ordinance D-458 which passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the meeting the same
was duly adjourned at 7:25 P.M.
