SPECIAL BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MEETING
OCTOBER 25, 1985
Mayor Reiman called the special meeting of the Board of Public
Works to order at 4:30 P.M. on October 25, 1985, with Board members
Swift and Walker present. Also present was Clerk-Treasurer Hancock.
Administrative Hearing - Finding of Facts - Mayor Reiman reported
the Original Finding of Facts from the Administrative Hearing on
Zellers was given to the Clerk-Treasurer today.
Garcia - Overtime Information - Clerk-Treasurer Hancock explained
the latest congressional action on the FLSA as it applies to
governmental units. Action on implementing specified pay periods to
comply with FLSA will be postponed until Nov. 1st.
Curb Cut - Carmel Post Office - Bert Hail, Postmaster of Carmel
Post Office and David Bateman with the real estate division of the
post office out of Louisville appeared before the Board to request
two curb cuts between the two they now have in order to install a
drive through for drop mail. Much discussion ensued regarding
traffic problems and danger with the cuts too close together. Mayor
Reiman made a motion to table this item until Mr. Hail can come
back with a plan to put additional drop boxes in the existing lot
by expanding lot by one drive-thru lane using the existing curb
cuts. Motion seconded by Mr. Walker and passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the
same was duly adjourned at 5:25 P.M.
