HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW-05-08-85MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF PUBL IC WORKS MAY 8, 1985 The special meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 4:30 P.M. on May 8, 1985, with Board member Fred Swift, City Attorney Andrews and Clerk- Treasurer Hancock present. Bid Opening - Main Street Improvement Project - City Attorney Andrews and Don Silvey of HNTB opened the bids for the Main Street Improvements project which were as follows: SEE ORIGINAL MINUTES FOR BID COMPANIES AND BID PRICES Mr. Swift made a motion to refer the bids to Mr. Silvey for review and recommendation at the May 15th meeting. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. East 116th Street Sewer Contracts - Mr. Silvey from HNTB appeared before the Board and presented the plan for rerouting some of the sewage in the 116th Street-Lakeshore Drive area and presented the Board with a contract for preparation of bidding documents and engineering services. Following discussion, Mr. Swift made a motion to accept the contract between the City of Carmel and HNTB for Preparation of Bidding Documents and Engineering Services for 116th Street Relief Sewer in an estimated amount of $24,000.00. Motion seconded by Mayor Reiman and passed unanimously. Carmel Racquet Club 1OK Run for the Blind - The Board was in receipt of a request from the Carmel Racquet Club to hold a lOK run for the benefit of the blind. Mayor Reiman made a motion to approve the request and proposed route. Motion seconded by Mr. Swift and passed unanimously.
