JUIY 28, 1986
Mayor Reiman called the special meeting of the Carmel City Council to
order at 7:00 P.M. on July 28, 1986 with Council members McMullen,
Fleming, Johnson, Miller and Doane present. Also present was Clerk
Treasurer Hancock.
Ordinance D-486, Salary Ordinance for 1987 Salaries - Mr. Johnson made
a motion to introcuce Ordinance D-486 and dispense with the reading of
same. Moti(n seconded by Miss Doane. Mr. Johnson made a motion-to
susperd the rules and act on Ordinance D-486 this evening. Motion
seconced by Mrs. McMullen and passed unanimously. Vote was taken on
Ordirance D-486 which passed unanimously.
Ordinance D-487, Salary Ordinance for 1987 Fire Department - Mrs.
McMullen made a motion to introduce Ordinance D-487, dispense with the
reading of same anc suspend the rules to act on Ordinance D-487 this
evening. Motion seconded by Mr. Miller and passed unanimously. Vote was
taken on Ordirance D-487 which passed unanimously.
Ordinance D-488, Salary Ordinance for 1987 Police Department - Mr.
Johnson made a motion to introduce Ordinance D-488, dispense with the
reading of same anc suspend the rules to act on Ordinance D-488 this
evening. Motion seconded by Mr. Fleming and passed unanimously.
Vote was taken on Ordirance D-488 which passed unanimously.
Cable TV Seminar - Mayor Reiman stated there would be a seminar on
Cable TV in Philadelphia and that Advisory Board member Jane Merrill
stated she would be willing to attend. Mayor Reiman stated she felt we
had enough problems with the cable TV that she felt it would be
beneficial if we could send someone and asked Council if they would be
willing to use monies from their travel budget to send Mrs. Merrill to
the seminar. Mr. Badger arrived at this time. Discussion ensued and the
concensus of the Council was that it would be a good idea to send Mrs.
Merrill to the seminar. Mr. Badger made a motion to pay the expenses
for Mrs. Merrill to attend the Cable TV seminar from the Council travel
budcet. Motion seconded by Mr. Miller and passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same
was duly adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
