HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCM-03-16-87 MINUTES OF THE CARMEL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 16, 1987 The meeting of the Carmel City Council was called to order by Mayor Reiman at 7:00 P.M. on March 16, 1987 with Council members Miller, McMullen, Doane, Johnson, Garretson, Fleming and Badger present. Also present was City Attorney Andrews and Clerk-Treasurer Hancock. Miss Doane gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Fleming made a motion to approve the minutes of March 2, 1987. Motion seconded by Mr.Johnson ard passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Yellow Cab Proposal - Mr. Roger Lewis, operations manager and Mr. Richard Hunt, owner of Indianapolis Yellow Cab appeared before the Council and requested permission to cperate a taxi service in the City of Carmel. Mr. Lewis stated the comFany proposed to begin service with five 1985 Ford LTDs and outlined t~e rate schedule. Mr. Hunt presented the back ground of the company anc outlined the proposed services. Attorney Andrews present d an amended taxi ordinance for the review and discussion of the Counci]. Discussion ensued and suggestions were made for the new taxi ordinance. Mr. Andrews will incorporate the suggestions and fees into the proposed ordinance and the same will be presented in finished form for action at the April 6, 1987 meeting. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the same was duly adjourned at 8:20 P.M. APPROVED ATTEST:
