MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 22, 1988
7:00 P.M.
The meeting of the Carmel City Council was called to order by
Mayor Dorothy J. Hancock. Council members in attendance were
Minnie Doane, Alan Potasnik, James Miller, Frank Fleming and Tom
Irvin. Also in attendance was Clerk-Treasurer Susan W. Jones.
The invocation was given by Councilor Doane.
PUBLIC HEARING/ESTABLISHMENT OF CUMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
Miller made a motion to introduce
FUND/RESOLUTION 8-22-88-1 -
Resolution 8-22-88-1. The motion was seconded by Councilor
Potasnik. The Mayor outlined the requirements for the fund. It
was the desire of the City Council to spend the fund monies on
general street paving and/or sidewalks. The Mayor then opened the
hearing to the public for questions and/or objections. There
being none, the public hearing was closed and opened to the
Council. There being no objections from the Council, Councilor
Irvin made a motion to adopt Resolution 8-22-88-1. The motion was
seconded by Councilor Miller. All members voted aye. Resolution
8-22-88-1 passed unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING/BUDGET 1989 - Councilor Fleming made a motion to
introduce the following ordinances and suspend the rules for
reading of the same. The motion was seconded by Councilor Irvin.

The Mayor opened the hearing to the public. There
being no one from the public who objected the hearing
was then closed and opened to the Council for
questions and/or objections. There were no objections.
Action on the 1989 budget will be held on August 29,
1988 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Meeting Hall.
There being no further business before the City
Council the meeting was duly adjourned.
