The approved drainage report was dated 9-8- 2020. The modification is based on increasing the allowable impervious percentage for the lots. Also, modifying the outlet control structure based on the as-built conditions. Existing Conditions The site has been constructed. As-built survey information regarding the outlet control structure, as well as downstream pipes, has been collected. These as-built conditions will be reflected in the ICPR model. Stormwater Detention – Original Design The request to allow 45% of the lots have impervious surface will increase the CN value of the basin draining to Lake 1. The following calculations will reflect this change. However, no analysis will be performed comparing the allowable release rates to proposed release rates. Instead, comparisons will be made between the original design release rates (with a 6” primary orifice) and updated release rates. These updated release rates are based on as-built conditions along with modifications to the outlet control structure and the emergency overflow weir. The originally designed and approved ICPR model had the following release rates: Original Peak Proposed Release Rates (6” primary orifice) Storm Event Allowable Runoff Rate Proposed Release Rate 10 yr, 24 hr 1.90 cfs 2.14 cfs 100 yr, 24 hr 5.71 cfs 6.38 cfs Per Ordinance, the original design met the release rate criteria with a 3” primary orifice and a 6” orifice was constructed. Stormwater Detention – As-Built Conditions The peak release rates were re-analyzed in ICPR. This model included the as-built conditions for the outlet control structure, a 6” primary orifice, an increased CN value for basin LAKE 1, and no offsite runoff. The results are: As-Built Peak Proposed Release Rates Storm Event Original Release Rates Proposed Release Rate 10 yr, 24 hr 2.14 cfs 2.29 cfs 100 yr, 24 hr 6.38 cfs 6.45 cfs In both the 10-year and 100-year storm event the release rates increased. Stormwater Detention – Modified As-Built Conditions Two modifications are proposed. One, a 1.5” bottom clip to the secondary orifice of the outlet control structure. Two, raise the elevation of the emergency overflow weir from 879.70 to 880.20. If these modifications are made, the peak release rates would be: As-Built Peak Proposed Release Rates Storm Event Original Release Rates Proposed Release Rate 10 yr, 24 hr 2.14 cfs 2.19 cfs 100 yr, 24 hr 6.38 cfs 5.86 cfs The release rates are higher during the 10-year storm but lower during the 100-year storm. This should not have adverse drainage effects downstream. Offsite Runoff When the offsite basins are included the 100-year peak stage of Lake 1 reaches an elevation of 880.14. So, the emergency overflow weir will be raised to an elevation of 880.20.
