MEETING MINUTES
6:15 P.M.
ONE CIVIC SQUARE/CITY HALL/COUNCIL CHAMBERS
JANUARY 5, 1994
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ted Johnson. Board
members present were Steve Brown and Rick McKinney. Clerk-
Treasurer Susan Jones was also present.
Bids for 10, 1994 full size police package vehicles were
BIDS:
opened and read my Mayor Johnson. The bids were as follows:
DAN YOUNG CHEVROLET/HONDA: $136,904.50
HARE CHEVROLET/OLDSMOBILE: $137,624.10
Police Chief Roger Conn and Major Honnaker took the bids under
advisement until the end of the meeting.
Mayor Johnson made a motion to re-
WATER/SEWER AVAILABILITY:
approve sewer and water availability for Foster Estates, Section 5
in the amount of 35 EDU's each, not to exceed 10,500 gallons. The
motion was seconded by Rick McKinney. All members voted aye.
Motion carried.
Mayor Johnson made a motion to approve the
UTILITY EASEMENT:
utility easement granted by Carmel-Clay Schools for the water main
south of 1041 West Main Street. The motion was seconded by Steve
Brown. All members voted aye. Motion carried.
Steve Brown made a motion to approve the following
CONTRACTS:
contracts. The motion was seconded by Rick McKinney. All members
voted aye. Motion carried.
1. Van Ausdall & Farrar, Inc. - Maintenance Contract for
Typewriter in Mayor's office - $61.92
2. Jan Hope - Technical & Research Consulting - $15 per hour,
not to exceed $4,000
Mayor Johnson made a motion to award the bid for 10 new
BID AWARD:
police automobiles to the low bidder, Dan Young Chevrolet in the
amount of $136,904.50. The motion was seconded by Steve Brown.
All members voted aye. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board of Works the
meeting was duly adjourned.
