SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 20, 1995
6:15 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS/CITY HALL/ONE CIVIC SQUARE
The Carmel Board of Public Works Special Meeting was brought to order by Mayor Ted Johnson.
Members in attendance were Steve Brown and Rick McKinney. Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Anne
Hartman was also in attendance.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
BID OPENING: Mayor Johnson opened and read aloud the only bid received for a Haz-Mat vehicle for
the Fire Department from Hackney & Sons in the amount of $195,639.
Upon Fire Chief Steve Couts recommendation, the bid was rejected as being too high.
Mayor Johnson made a motion to reject the bid from Hackney & Sons. Steve Brown seconded the
motion.
Mayor Johnson called for the question. All members voted aye. Motion passed. Bid was rejected
and will be let for bid again, bid opening to be May 3rd.
There being no further business before the Carmel Board of Public Works, the meeting was duly
adjourned.
