COUNCIL CHAMBERS/CITY HALL/ONE CIVIC SQUARE The Special Meeting of the Carmel City Council was brought to order by Council President Jim Quinn. Members in attendance were Frank Fleming, Alan Potasnik, Tom Kendall, Luci Snyder, Chris Painchaud and Tim Story. Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Anne Hartman was also in attendance. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS: Councilor Kendall moved to approve the following claims. Councilor Story seconded the motion. 08/01/95 $ 26,558.73 08/16/95 438,468.68 08/22/95 360,899.03 08/30/95 14,000,000.00 08/30/95 424,874.93 08/31/95 33,439.02 09/01/95 26,740.45 09/06/95 662,072.62 Councilor Kendall moved to amend claim docket dated September 6, 1995 by removing a claim from Lectro-Communications as there is a question why batteries were purchased from two different locations at two different prices, this claim being the higher. Councilor Potasnik seconded the motion. Councilor Story questioned why we would penalize the vendor and not send payment. Councilor Kendall stated only the $1,700 for batteries should be withheld and possibly return the batteries in favor of the lower price. Council President Quinn called for the question on the amendment. All members voted aye except Councilor Snyder who abstained as she had come in during the discussion. Motion passed. Claim docket dated September 6, 1995 was amended to read $660,372.62. Council President Quinn called for the question on claims as amended. All members voted aye. Motion passed. There being no further business before the Carmel City Council, the meeting was duly adjourned.
