TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 1999 - 8:30 A.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS / CITY HALL / ONE CIVIC SQUARE
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor James Brainard; Council President Luci Snyder; Councilors Kevin
Kirby, Robert Battreall, Norm Rundle, Ron Carter and Billy Walker. Clerk-Treasurer Diana Cordray
and Deputy Clerk Rebecca Martin also attended. Councilor Jim Miller was absent.
Mayor Brainard called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.
CLAIMS: Councilor Snyder moved to approve claims in the amounts of $515,108.75 and $202,285.47.
Councilor Rundle seconded. Claims were approved 6-0.
Councilor Walker moved to approve Resolution CC-01 - 19-99-01, payment of construction costs for
Hazel Dell Parkway ($163,025.50). Councilor Rundle seconded. Resolution CC-01-19-99-01 was
approved 6-0.
OTHER: Councilor Snyder read a note the council had received from the Hamilton County Alliance
thanking the City for its participation in the alliance. Mayor Brainard discussed financial items regarding
the 96th Street bridge. Councilor Kirby stated the council still had about $560,000 remaining in the 96th
Street project that would not be needed. The ordinance for this project states that unused money must be
returned to the General Fund. Councilor Carter stated the council should approve a resolution within the
next month showing its intent to consider building an over/underpass at 13 1st Street and US 31. The
council signed documents.
Councilor Battreall moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 a.m. Councilor Snyder seconded. The meeting
was adjourned.
