ADJOURNMENT CARMEL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 29, 1999 - 8:00 A.M. COUNCIL CHAMBERS / CITY HALL / ONE CIVIC SQUARE MEMBERS PRESENT: Council President Luci Snyder; Councilors Kevin Kirby, John Koven, Bob Battreall, Norm Rundle, Ron Carter and Billy Walker. Deputy Clerks Robin Butler and Cindy Sheeks also attended. Council President Snyder called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m. CLAIMS: Councilor Rundle moved to approve claims in the amounts of $3,682,924.65 and $1,104,758.11. Councilor Walker seconded. There was Council discussion regarding the Carmel Clay Parks Departments Claims. Deputy Clerk Cindy Sheeks answered questions regarding the portion of the payment from the Board of Public Works budget. She clarified that it was not a Transfer or Additional Appropriation, but rather the Mayor authorized payment to be made from their funds. There was a question on a Fire Department claim that has an explanation of F'~a, illa Beads'. Deputy Clerk Sheeks will look into that claim. There was a question about a claim for printers. Deputy Clerk Sheeks said it was either a claim for 3 printers or for the Department of Community Services Color Laser Printer. There was discussion that the color laser printer was purchased with the capability to print large maps in color; therefore it was quite costly. Claims were approved 7-0. Councilor Kirby uestioned the 96th Street encumbrance for 2000. The decision was made to keep $20,000 in the 96tqd Street line item of the Council budget and roll the rest into the General Fund. Council President Snyder moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilor Kirby seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:17 a.m. Respectfully submitted, Clerk-Treasurer Diana L.
