NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF CARMEL BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING AT 9:00 A.M. OR
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD; ON
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2002 IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY
HALL, ONE CIVIC SQUARE.
THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING IS CITY BUSINESS.

MEETING MINUTES
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2002 - 9:00 A.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS / CITY HALL / ONE CIVIC SQUARE
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mayor James Brainard and Board Member Mary Ann Burke; Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Carrie Gallagher.
Board Member Lori Watson and Clerk-Treasurer Diana Cordray were absent.
Mayor Brainard called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.
BID/QUALIFICATION OPENINGS/AWARDS:
Opening for 106th Street and Gr~ Road lntersection Improvement Project; Mayor Brainard opened and
read aloud the bids received as follows:

EDSAM Construction
Base Bid Alternate
$ 422,737.55 -$ 3,000.00
$ 490,448.60 - $27,000.00
$ 614,202.00 -$ 8,200.00
Mayor Brainard gave the bid documents to Kate Weese, City Engineer, for review and consideration in
order to provide a recommendation at this meeting.
Mayor Brainard called a recess at 9.'07 c~m.
Mayor Brainard reconvened the meeting at 9:32 a.m.
Award for 106th Street and Gray Road Intersection Improvement Project; Kate Weese, City Engineer,
presented this matter to the Board and recommended that Rieth-Riley be awarded the above-referenced
bid as the lowest, most responsive bidder at $422,737.55. Mayor Brainard moved to approve the bid
award. Board Member Burke seconded. The bid was awarded to Rieth-Kiley by a vote of 2-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Brainard moved to adjourn. Board Member Burke seconded. The meeting was adjourned at
9:34 a.m.
