COUNCIL CHAMBERS/CITY HALL/ONE CIVIC SQUARE MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor James Brainard, Council Members Rick Sharp, Ron Carter, Joe Griffiths, Fred Glaser, Mark Rattermann, Clerk-Treasurer Diana Cordray and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Lois Fine. Councilors Kevin I~rby and Brian Mayo xvere absent. Mayor Brainard called the meeting to order at 2:04 p.m. OLD BUSINESS Third Reading of Ordinance No. C-263; An Ordinance of the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, Annexing Certain Territory to the City of Carmel, Indiana, Placing the Same Within the Corporate Boundaries Thereof and Making the Same A Part of the City of Carmel (SW Clay Township). Mayor Brainard made a motion to recess 15-20 minutes. Councilor Rattermann seconded. Councilor Sharp made a motion to recess until 2:30 p.m. Councilor Rattermann seconded. Council President Carter called for the question. The motion to recess until 2:30 p.m. passed 5-0. Council President Carter then announced the recess would be extended until 3:00 p.m. Council President Carter announced the recess would again be extended until 3:15 p.m. At 3:40 p.m. Council President Carter announced that Mayor Brainard wanted to extend the recess for an indeterminable amount of dine. At 3:50 p.m. Mayor Brainard announced that he had received a call from Fred Yde and an agreement could not be reached at this time. The Mayor advised the Council to proceed with the meeting. Council President Carter announced the Third Reading of Ordinance No, C-263. There was no Council discussion. Council President Carter called for the question. Councilor Rattermann moved to approve Ordinance No. C 263. Councilor Glaser seconded. Council President Carter again asked Council if they ~vere sure they did not have anything to discuss. Council President Carter called for the question. Ordinance No. C-263 was approved 5-0. ADJOURNMENT Councilor Sharp made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Councilor Glaser seconded. Carter adjourned the meeting at 3:52 p.m. pending execution of the document. President ATTEST: Approved, or James Bramard
