Be it hereby known that the City of Carmel and Schutz & Thompson, Inc.
have entered into the following agreement:
Since the present pslicy of the City of Carmel is to reserve capacity
for housing units approved by the Planning Commission, and that since the
City 'feels that it has committed all its available sewer line capacity to
· present and future building units; it now agrees to accept the sewerage
from the area to be known as Foster Grove. Foster Grove being located on
160 acres more particularly the Northeast One Quarter of SectioJ 29,]Range
4 East, Township 18 North. This area is to contain approximately 320.0
housing units.
Since the City recognizes that it has planned for the future an
interceptor line that would provide adequate sewerage capacity for the area
of Carmel located East of Keystone Avenue and that its outstanding commit-
·ments to approved subdivisions may not be affected if such interceptor is
in'tailed prior to the completion of all it outstanding commitments. It
hereby agrees to accept the sewerage from th~ Foster Grove area on the
following condition.
Schutz & Thompson, Inc. agrees to install or cause to have installed
a force main and lift station of sufficent size and capacity to offset for
time prior to the installation of said interceptor.
At the present time it is anticipated that this lift station and force
main shall originate on the Foster Grove property and extend to approximately
lllst Street and Grey Road, ~he location of the existing interceptor line.
The funds for said force main and lift station shall be furnished by
Schutz & Thompson, Inc.
