The natural materials harmonize with virtually any site design. Available in many sizes, shapes, heights and finishes to compliment any site design. Standard surface treatments include natu- ral colored concrete with an etched finish or exposed aggregate. Options include custom colors, tile, signage and logos. AAL concrete bollards are maintenance free due to their inherent strength and natural finishes. The rein- forced concrete bases and tops, matched with cast aluminum grills make the bollards virtually inde- structible. These bollards are highly resistant to abuse and inadvertent damage from grounds keeping. INTERNAL OPTION o HSS House side shield (Contact Factory for Option Details) SPECIFICATIONS Concrete body and cap The body and caps are composed of precast concrete reinforced with an internal cage structure of steel. The concrete bodies are one piece castings with a minimum wall thickness of three inches. All threaded inserts are welded to the steel reinforcing cage and cast in place. The base plate for anchoring is 1/4" hot dipped galvanized steel. Surface finish is natural concrete with a medium sandblast etch or exposed aggregate. Medium sandblast finish includes a clear anti-vandal sealer. GRILL Grills are cast aluminum, minimum wall thickness of .250 inches. All castings are pure aluminum #356 alloy, free of any foreign material or porosity. Grills have cast in place, integral mounting lugs for attachment to the concrete base. The inner lens of clear or opal DR acrylic, is sealed to the grill frame. The grill assembly has a silicone gasket on the top and bottom for weather tight opera- tion. Recessed stainless steel screws are loosened to remove the top cap for relamping. An upper reflector is installed on the inside of all top caps for opti- mum luminaire efficiency. Finish is a seven stage TGIC polyester powder coat. ELECTRICAL MODULE The electrical module consists of the ballast module and lamp housing. All housing parts are aluminum with stainless steel hardware. The ballast module is prewired on an aluminum strap mounted to the underside of the lamp hous- ing. Ballasts are high power factor, rated for -30 degree starting. The socket is a 4 KV pulse rated, medium base porcelain. The electrical module is silicone gasketed for weather tight operation. All bollards are UL or EfL listed for wet location use. WARRANTY Fixture shall be warranted to be free of defects for three years. Ballast com- ponents shall carry the ballast manufacturer's limited warranty. Lamp enclosure: Crystal Glass diffuser gasketed top and bottom using a high temperature silicone gasket. Heavy cast aluminum guard and top assembly secured by stainless steel fasteners. Internal top reflector provides glare free surface illumination. Electrical: Lampholders are G12, bi-pin with nickel plated contacts, provided with 20QoC high temperature leads, pulse rated 5 KV. All reflector modules are factory prewired with quick-disconnect plug and include silicone seal at the penetration of the internal barrier wall in the luminaire housing. Electrical Module: All electrical components are UL and CSA recognized, mounted on a single plate and factory prewired with quick-disconnect plugs. Electrical module attaches to housing with no-tool hinges and latches, accessible by opening the lens frame only. All ballasts are high power factor rated -200F. starting. Support Ann: One piece extruded aluminum with internal bolt guides and fully radiussed top and bottom. Luminaire-to-pole attachment is by internal draw bolts, and includes a pole reinforcing plate with wire strain relief. Arm is circular cut for specified round pole.
