Comment #2:
Per section 3002.4 of the Indiana Building Code, Provide confirmation the elevators in
the buildings can accommodate an ambulance cot.
Response : Inside dimensions of elevator cab comply with section 3002.4. See the
following image from the 2012 International Building Code commentary. The
designed elevator cab will be 6’-8” in length (6’-8” per diagram) and 5’-5” in depth
(5’-3” per diagram).
Comment #3:
Per IFC section 3312.1 Fire Hydrants shall be fully functional tested and approved prior
to any combustible materials arriving on the construction site.
Response : General Contractor to comply.
Comment #4:
Approved fire department vehicle access to the FDC/ Fire Hydrant shall be provided
once they are in service and operational.
Response : General Contractor to comply and will schedule an on-site meeting to
confirm condition.
Comment #5:
Fire Alarm and Fire sprinkler plans shall be submitted to CFD once available.
Response : General Contractor to comply and will submit plans for review.
Comment #6:
Indiana Fire Code Section 3313.1 Where required. In buildings required to have
standpipes by Section 905.3.1, not less than one standpipe shall be provided for use
during construction. Such standpipes shall be installed when the progress of
construction is not more than 40 feet (12 192 mm) in height above the lowest level of
