HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ-675 - Ordinance with line numbers_DRAFT 03-10-22Sponsor: Councilor Rider 1 2 ORDINANCE Z-675-22 3 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE 5 CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA 6 _________________________________________________ 7 8 Rezoning the old Carmel Shopping Center at 1017 West Main Street, Carmel, 9 from the UC/Urban Core District to the C2/Mixed Use District. 10 11 Synopsis: 12 This ordinance Rezones two parcels located in the Southeast quadrant of West Main Street and 13 Old Meridian Street from the Urban Core District to the C2/Mixed Use District. 14 15 WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4, the Common Council has lawfully adopted 16 a Unified Development Ordinance, the terms of which are applicable to the geographic area 17 consisting of the incorporated area of the City of Carmel, Indiana, which Unified Development 18 Ordinance has been codified in Chapter 10 of the Carmel City Code; and 19 20 WHEREAS, pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-4-602 the Common Council is authorized to 21 amend the map that is part of the Unified Development Ordinance; and 22 23 WHEREAS, the Carmel Advisory Plan Commission, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 24 voted to favorably recommend Docket No. PZ 2022-00006 Z, rezoning the Parcels illustrated and 25 described in Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein (the “Real Property”). 26 27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of 28 Carmel, Indiana, that: 29 30 Section I: The Official Zoning Map accompanying and made part of the Unified 31 Development Ordinance is hereby changed to designate the Real Property 32 from the UC Urban Core District to the C2/Mixed Use District. 33 Section II: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this 34 Ordinance are hereby repealed. 35 36 Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage 37 and signing by the Mayor. 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 Prepared by: Michael Hollibaugh, Department of Community Services, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032 PASSED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana, this ____ day of ________, 48 2022, by a vote of _____ ayes and _____ nays. 49 50 51 COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF CARMEL 52 53 54 ___________________________________ 55 Kevin D.
