With the positive direction the City of Carmel is moving with planned art galleries, performing arts center, shopping, restaurants, as well as other area attractions, we believe a Bed & Breakfast will be an attractive draw to the Carmel downtown area. To achieve this goal, we would like to purchase the property at 521 First Avenue NW for use as a small Bed & Breakfast. We request a User Variance in order to do this. Any renovations will add value to the present property, while maintaining the existing Victorian structure on the outside. The home will remain a Single Family Residence. We will comply with all relevant city ordinances. We plan on renting out two rooms per evening, and ample parking space is available on the property. We thank you for your consideration in granting us this User Variance.
