Written statement of commitment s:\forms\secplat.app revised 01107/97 3 o Q WATER, SANITARY SEWERAND. DRAINAGE REPORT The proposed subdivision will be supplied with public water and sanitary sewer. A public water main will be extended from an existing 12-inch main located south of the site along Ditch Road. It is proposed that a new 12-inch main be extended through the subdivision for the 100 lots. The average water consumption is expected to be approximately 31,000 gpd, with a anticipated peak of 125,000 gpd. Gravity sanitary sewer for the project will be connected to the existing 8-inch PVC sewer at the intersection of Welford Way and Newcastle Drive within the Kingsborough subdivision south of the site. Similar to the expected water consumption, the total estimated average effluent from the site is 31,000 gpd. Likewise, the peak sanitary sewer flow from the subdivision is expected to be approximately 125,000 gpd. Stormwater drainage for the site will be primarily through a network of storm sewer pipes and stormwater detention ponds. The pipes will be designed to accommodate a 1 O-year storm scenario. Pad elevations for individual lots will be designed to be a minimum of 2 feet above the 100-year flood elevation of the corresponding retention ponds. The 100-year post-developed peak outflow from the downstream pond on the site will be controlled to be less than the 10-year pre-developed peak runoff to the same outlet point. Discharge from the downstream pond will be to the south into a Drainage and Utility Easement within the Kingsborough subdivision.
