51. Docket No. 05090001 OA: Z-485-05, as amended (as amended by City
Council) - Parking Ordinance Amendment
The applicant seeks to amend the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 27: Additional
Parking & Loading Regulations, in order to modify parking standards.
Filed by the Carmel Department of Community Services.
This agenda item was placed under Old Business due to changes approved by the Carmel
City Council. On November 15,2005, the item was certified to the City Council with a
favorable recommendation. The City Council approved the item with amendments on
January 23,2006. Indiana Code requires the Plan Commission to approve or disapprove
the Council's amendments within 45 days. Below is a summary of the Council's
approved changes. Please refer to the amended ordinance mailed with the agenda for full
details.
The approved Council amendments are highlighted in yellow in the ordinance, and are as
follows:
. 27.03.01 pg.2: Clarifies the surface requirements for parking lots
. 27.03.02 pg.3: Clarifies the curbing requirements for parking lots
The Department recommends that the Plan Commission approve the ordinance
amendment request as forwarded by the Carmel City Council.
