HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW03-15-06-01 Carmel/CC School Fuel Tank RESOLUTION NO. BPW-03-15-06-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF CARMEL. INDIANA. RATIFYING CHANGE ORDER FOR UNDERGROUND FUEL STORAGE TANK AS A CITY OBLIGATION WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, saves taxpayer money by partnering with Carmel Clay Schools in the purchasing and use of fuel for City vehicles; and WHEREAS, in order to better and more efficiently serve the City's public safety and service vehicles, the City asked Carmel-Clay Schools to expand its Carmel West Side Transportation Facility, being constructed at 1261h Street and Shelbourne Road, to include a separate underground fuel storage tank, pump and island to be used by City vehicles; and WHEREAS, Carmel-Clay Schools did issue its change order #2, in the amount of Seventy-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($75,817.00) (the "Change Order") directing the addition of a separate fuel tank, dispenser and island at its Carmel West Side Transportation Facility for the City's use and benefit; and WHEREAS, the City's ratification and payment of the Change Order is in the best interests of the City and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND AGREED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Carmel, Indiana, as follows: 1. The foregoing Recitals are incorporated herein by this reference. 2.
