The General Contractor shall provide shop drawings for the architect's review and approval for the following: All shop millwork,carpet layout, flooring, light fixtures, doors, misc. steel, masonry, concrete mix, metal fabrication, windows, sprinkler layouts,accessories, toilet accessories, and hardware. Shop drawings shall be submitted in the form of three sets of prints. Shopdrawing shall not be reproductions of Contract Documents. Material Submittals (3 samples) shall be provided for wood,fasteners, acrylic, carpet, tile, base, laminate, and any other materials indicated in the shop drawing.14. . The General Contractor shall provide the Architect with manufacturers' cut sheets and specifications for all equipment includingbut not limited to: light fixtures, plumbing equipment, fans, supplementary heating and cooling elements, all hardware andsecurity equipment.15. Contractor and Subcontractors shall visit job site to thoroughly examine existing conditions. General Contractor shall waive "Common Practice" and "Common Usage" as construction criteria wherever details and ContractDocuments of governing codes, ordinances, etc. require quantity or better quality than common practice or common usagewould require.22. The finished work shall be firm, well-anchored, in true alignment, plumb and level, with smooth, clean, uniform, appearancewithout waves, distortions, holes, marks cracks, stains, or discoloration. Jointing shall be close fitting, neat and well scribed.The finished work shall have no exposed unsightly anchors or fasteners and shall not present hazardous, unsafe corners. Allwork shall have the provision for expansion, contraction and shrinkage as necessary to prevent cracks, buckling, and warpingdue to temperature and humidity conditions.23. Prior to project close out the General Contractor is to complete all punch list items, provide the owner with operation andmaintenance manuals, complete warranty submittals, and complete the final cleaning (defined as move-in condition, ready forowner/tenant business operations). Close-out shall be approved by the architect.24. The General Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining a complete Certificate of Occupancy for the project.INDEMNIFICATION:1. The General Contractor shall continuously check architectural and structural clearances for accessibility of equipment andmechanical and electrical systems. No allowances of any kind will be made for the General Contractor's negligence to foreseemeans of installing equipment into position.16 Contractor to locate and verify existing sanitary, vent, and plumbing supply lines.17. Provide complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems ready for use. Confer with other trades in coordination of thiswork for clearances, chases, recesses, and openings required.18. In case of an inconsistency between Drawings and Specifications or within either Document, not clarified byaddendum, the more specific provision will take precedence over less specific; more specific will take precedence over lessstringent; more expensive item will take precedence over less expensive. Better quality or greater quantity of work shall beprovided in accordance with Architect's interpretation. On drawings, figures take precedence over scaled dimensions. Scalingof dimensions, if done, is done at the Contractor's own risk.GENERAL NOTES:1 OSHA rules, regulations and requirements are a part of this contract.
