Roll was called and members present were Dr. Dowell, Carl Geltz, Donna
Skeens Terr Litvan and Jerr York.
H. Public Hearings,
lh. 7 :00 P.M. , Public Hearing on Docket No. S 45-80, Special Exception
Application for Hope Church (addition to existing church) , located
at 2500 E. 98th Street in S-2 zoning.
Filed by Donald Walker for Hope Church.
The public hearing opened at 7 :05 with Mr. Walker making the presentation
for a building permit for an east wing to be added to the church. The plans
were shown.
Mr. Thompson related that the special exception is needed because the
expansion of the church is more than a 10% increase.
No remonstrators were present.
Mrs. Skeens questioned the use.
Mr. Walker said that it is to be an educational wing.
Mr. Walker explained the plans.
Mrs. Litvan read the Technical Advisory Committee report pertaining to
this item .
The public hearing closed at 7:10.
Mrs. Skeens moved that S 45-80 be granted as presented . Seconded by Dr.
Dowell.
Ballots were cast.
The vote was unanimous for approval ( 5 to 0) .
2h. 7:15 P.M. , Public Hearing on Docket No. 46-80, Special Exception
Application for St. Peter' s United Church of Christ, located 3106 E.
Carmel Drive in R-1 zoning.
Filed by Mark Swanson.
, The public hearing opened at 7:15 with Roger Brumbaugh making the present-
ation for a 4, 400 sq. ft.. educational wing to be added to the church.
Mark Swanson, Contractor and Lawrence Mangering of the building committee
were present.
Mrs. Litvan read the Technical Advisory Committee report pertaining to
this item.
No remonstrators were present.
The public hearing closed at 7:19.
Mr. Geltz moved to approve S 46-80 as presented. Seconded by Mrs. Skeens.
Ballots were cast.
The vote was unanimous for approval (5 to 0) .
There being no further business to come before the Board at this special
meeting, Mrs. Skeens moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Geltz.
Meeting adjourned at 7 :22 P. M.
