This site does not drain into a regulated drain, therefore, no permit is required from this office. 2. Per your letter dated May 17, 1995, you state that your calculations show an increase of 1 c,f.s. per acre as a result of the addition to the existing building. What storm event does this 1 c.f.s. increase occur in? Please forward to this office your calculations. 3. Please forward a plan showing the building expansion. Sincerely, 7-1 '-, ----- Steven T. Land Planners VICE PRESIDENT May 17, 1995 Mr. Kevin Callahan, AIA Callahan&Associates 8335 Allison Pointe Indianapolis,Indiana 46250 4ctRE: Hope Christian Church So Dear Mr. Callahan: Please let this letter serve as a preliminary report of findings concerning drainage for the proposed addition to the Hope Christian Church located at the Northeast corner of 98th Street and Haverstick Road in Carmel,Indiana. Per a topographic survey and preliminary drainage computations prepared by Weihe Engineers,Inc, (WEI)our initial findings show that the additional runoff produced by said addition would be in the neighborhood of one(1)cubic foot per second(CFS). Because of the size of said addition(6,500 square feet, more or less)in respect to the size of the overall site(356,700 square feet, more or less-approximately 8.2 acres, more or less)and that the natural path of said water is drain Easterly-Southeasterly to the Southeast corner of the property as well as said additional waters crossing grass or vegetated areas,we feel that relatively small increase in storm water runoff is insignificant to the overall watershed. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. Sincerely, X. 69CIL Michael L. This has been updated on the application provided. •The proposed use of the new facility should be explained in question 412 of the application. This should include, but may not be limited to the hours of operation, types of uses of the facility, and any outside parties that may use the facility. 4 ` Plans: l\ •The required parking needs to be determined for the new facility. The church is required V V. t— to provide one space for every 200 square feet of indoor space for the proposed fellowship center. (The current required parking is 1 space for every 4 seats in the main assembly of the existing church). i) (-The maximum height of the fellowship center is allowed to be 25 feet. The proposed height on the plans is 30 feet. -It is unclear on the plans which portion of the landscape plan will be installed as part of this addition. Additional Comments: •Please distribute your plans to the members of the Technical Advisory Committee by Thursday May 11, 1995. Please respond to these comments to ensure that this item can be placed on the agenda for the June 26, 1995 meeting of the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals.
