Re: BZA Docket No. PZ-2022-00079 UV: Coram Deo Academy Use Variance
Dear Mr. Simpson:
At the meeting held on Monday, June 27, 2022, the Carmel Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals took the following
action regarding the Use Variance (UV) request filed by you for the property located at 11720 College Ave:
APPROVED with CONDITION: PZ-2022-00079 UV: Permitted Uses - Elementary or Secondary Education
School not permitted; PreK-12 School granted.
• Approved with the Condition that the Petitioner addresses all remaining TAC review comments.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Use Variance
approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be
underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the use variance approval is June 27, 2025. (That is
the deadline when the land use must be fully implemented with all renovations, required site improvements, etc.
However, Landscape Plan compliance must be completed within 1 year of BZA Approval, by June 27, 2023.)
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
