Mr. Jim Ochs,
1 was asked by Paul Hood of Maxwell Electric to perform a visual inspection of the 1600 Amp 480V 3
phase service installed at the Home Depot.
I arrived on site on August 25, 2006 and met with xxx from PH Currant the general contractor and Paul
Hood from Maxwell electric. The switchgear consisted of (2) 800 amp panels. Both panels were opened
and I performed a visual inspection of the following:
Incoming feeder
Grounding
Bonding
(2) sets of 4 Parallel 600 McM copper conductors verified.
Building Water and Building Steel connections verified.
Equipment ground and Service ground bonding verified.
Service was operating at approximately 354 Amps per phase. Balance of amperage was within +/- 12 % on
each phase. Gear clearances were measured and verified.
Based on my visual inspection, I find this service to be installed in full accordance with the 2000 NEe.

The technical review and comments are intended to evaluate the completeness a/the Construction/Stormwater Pollution
Prevention Plan for the project. The Plan submitted was not reviewedfor the adequacy of the engineering design. All
measures included in the plan, as well as those recommended in the comments should be evaluated as to their feasibility
by a qualified individual with structural measures designed by a qualified engineer. The Plan has not been reviewed
or other local, state, or federal permits that may be required to proceed with this project. Additional information,

The cons/roc/ion component of the Stonnwater Pollution Prevention Plan includes stonnwater quality
measures to address erosion, sedimentation, and other pollutants associated with land disturbance and
, construction activities. Proper implementation aflhe plan and inspections of the construction site are
necessary to minimize the discharge of pollutants. The Project Site Owner should be aware that
unforeseen construction activities and weather conditions may affect the perfonnance of a practice or the
effectiveness of the plan. The plan must be af/exible document, with provisions to modifY or substitute
rae/ices as necessary.

Comments about the sequence: 1. I would remove the top soil removal and rough grading and begin seeding
statements from the initial setup. Within the Construction Sequence I would start with rough grading and top soil
removaL After stone staging area should be the start of building construction. Step #2 should already be completed by the
previous contract so maybe it should read to maintain the perimeter seeding. Step #3- The south sed basin can be filled
when the majority of the parking lot has been stoned. Step #9- Which set of diversion swales are you addressing? Both
basins have diversion swales.

I spoke with Mike of Hamilton County and they have no objection to Home Depot pulling a
building permit as it relates to Commerce Drive.
Also, Hamilton County has no objection to our temporary drive accessing Home Depot off
99th St. Mike did indicate that we would need to meet to discuss the option for bringing
the temporary road off the end of Commerce Drive but he did not rule it out.
Mike also indicated that the County plans to build Commerce Drive in two phases with phase
one being from 99th St. to a point south of Home Depot and dead head there.
Phase one is slated for this corning Monday's Commissioners meeting. If approved, Mike
thought the first phase could be complete sometime in the fall.
