PLAN GENERAL NOTES
1. CORROSION-RESISTANT FLASHING IS REQUIRED AT THE HEAD, SILL, AND
JAMBS OF EXTERIOR OPENINGS AND PENETRATIONS.
2. ADD SILICONE SEALANT TO EXTERIOR JOINTS AT EXTERIOR OPENINGS
AROUND WINDOWS AND DOOR FRAMES AND PENETRATIONS THROUGH
WALLS. REFER TO LOCAL CODES FOR REQUIREMENTS.
3. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY FORCE ON RAILING SYSTEM TO VERIFY
ADEQUATE NUMBER OF SUPPORT POSTS PRIOR TO BIDDING THE PROJECT.
COMFORM TO BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR SYSTEM.
4. GUARDRAIL ELEMENTS SHALL BE SPACED TO PREVENT A 4-INCH SPHERE
FROM PASSING THROUGH OPENINGS.
5. FLASHING SHALL BE INSTALLED AROUND ALL EXTERIOR OPEINGS. CAULK
AND MAKE WEATHER-TIGHT.
6. SEAL EXTERIOR PENETRATIONS THROUGH EXTERIOR CLADDING TO
ELIMINATE WATER INFILTRATION ONTO THE DRAINAGE PLANE.
7. PROVIDE DRIP CAP FLASHING AT ALL WINDOW & DOOR HEADS.
8. REFER TO FLOOR PLANS & SCHEDULES EXTERIOR OPENING SIZES AND
LOCATIONS.
9. PROVIDE FLASHING AS REQUIRED TO PREVENT THE PENETRATION OF
WATER INTO THE EXTERIOR SHELL OF THE BUILDING.
10. COORDINATE WITH CIVIL ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS.
11. REFERENCE SPECIFICATIONS, GENERAL NOTES AND DETAILS FOR MORE
INFORMATION.
12. CONFIRM EXTERIOR SIGNAGE LOCATIONS WITH THE OWNER AND PROVIDE
BLOCKING AND POWER REQUIRED.
