SPECIFICATIONS
GENERAL CONDITIONS
THESE CONDITIONS ARE A PART OF THE SPECIFICATIONS AND APPLY TO THE WORK OF ALL CONTRACTORS. CERTAIN SECTIONS
MAY OR MAY NOT APPLY TO THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT. IT IS THE OWNERS, GENERAL CONTRACTOR (HERE ON OUT KNOW AS GC)
AND TRADES PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THE SPECIFICATIONS AS APPLICABLE.
ALL CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS USED SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LATEST EDITION OR
EDITION AS NOTED OF THE FOLLOWING APPLICABLE CODES AND STANDARDS FOR ORDINARY CONSTRUCTION TYPE BUILDING AND
MEET TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE BUILDING COMMISSIONER OF THE AUTHORITY HAVE JURISDICTION.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL CARRY AMPLE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE OWNER FROM ANY AND
ALL CLAIMS UNDER THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT. THE OWNER SHALL CARRY AMPLE INSURANCE DURING THE PROGRESS
OF THE WORK TO PROTECT HIMSELF AND THE GC FROM LOSS THROUGH DAMAGE BY FIRE, TORNADO, ETC. OR LOSS BY THEFT,
VANDALISM, ETC. THAT INSURANCE WILL BE PAID FOR BY OWNER, WITH CERTIFICATES TO ALL PARTIES.
EACH AND EVERY TRADE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PEOPLE AND EQUIPMENT MEETING ALL GOVERNMENT HEALTH AND
SAFETY STANDARDS FOR THE BUILDING TRADES AS PER THE JURISDICTION(S) HAVING AUTHORITY (HERE ON OUT KNOWN AS JA).
EACH AND EVERY TRADE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY AND UNLOADING OF THEIR MATERIALS AT THE JOB SITE AND
THE PROTECTION OF THE SAME FROM ALL CONDITIONS AS NECESSARY. IT SHALL BE THE DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH
TRADE CONTRACTOR TO ARRANGE WITH OTHER TRADES SO THAT THEIR OWN WORK MAY PROCEED WITHOUT INTERRUPTION AND
IN CONJUNCTION WITH AND IN HARMONY WITH EVERY OTHER TRADE.
ALL COMMUNICATION TO THE ARCHITECT TO PASS THROUGH THE GC. ALL TRADE QUESTIONS, CLARIFICATIONS, SUBMITTALS,
ETCETERA TO BE PASSED THROUGH THE GC TO THE ARCHITECT.
ALL MATERIALS AND FIXTURES THROUGHOUT SHALL BE OF FIRST QUALITY. WHERE FINISHED SURFACES OR MATERIALS ARE
AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT COLORS OR FINISHES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT SAMPLES FOR REVIEW. THE FINISHED WORK
SHALL MATCH REVIEWED SAMPLES TO A REASONABLE DEGREE. NATURAL MATERIALS SUCH AS WOOD, MARBLE ETCETERA WILL
CONTAIN CHARACTERISTIC VARIATION.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT. GUARANTEE SHALL BE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1)
YEAR FROM OCCUPANCY OR FINAL PAYMENT OF CONTRACT, WHICHEVER SHALL OCCUR FIRST. OCCUPANCY SHALL MEAN
ACCEPTANCE OF HOUSE BY THE OWNER. SHOULD ANY DEFECT DEVELOP DURING SAID PERIOD OF GUARANTEE DUE TO IMPROPER
WORKMANSHIP THE SAME SHALL BE MADE GOOD BY THE CONTRACTOR WITHOUT EXPENSE TO THE OWNER. GUARANTEE SHALL NOT
INCLUDE SHRINKAGE, SETTLEMENT OR ANY IMPERFECTION RELATED TO THE CHARACTER OF THE MATERIALS INVOLVED.
EACH CONTRACTOR WILL LEAVE THE BUILDING CLEAN AT COMPLETION OF THEIR WORK AT THE END OF EACH WORKDAY AND
DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE TO A DUMPSTER FURNISHED BY OTHERS.
REFER TO THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS FOR DESCRIPTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF ALL WORK, MATERIAL AND PROCEDURES.
MANUFACTURES REQUIREMENTS OF PRODUCT HANDLING, INSTALLATION, AND PROCEDURES TO TRUMP THIS DOCUMENT.
ALL CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE COORDINATED WITH STRUCTURAL FRAMING AND ANY OTHER BUILDING COMPONENTS, INCLUDING BUT
NOT LIMITED TO EXISTING EXTERIOR CONSTRUCTION, INTERIOR FINISHES AND OTHER RELATED BUILDING COMPONENTS IN ORDER
TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE CONTINUOUS ENCLOSURE AS SHOWN ON THE DOCUMENTS.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COORDINATION OF FINAL DETAILS TO ACCOMMODATE THE FABRICATION,
ERECTION AND INSTALLATION OF WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DESIGN INTENT SHOWN.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE AND BE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS THEREOF. THEY SHALL
INVESTIGATE, VERIFY AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CONDITIONS OF THE PROJECT AND SHALL NOTIFY THE GC OF ANY
CONDITIONS REQUIRING MODIFICATION BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. COMMENCEMENT OF WORK SHALL CONSTITUTE
ACCEPTANCE OF EXISTING CONDITIONS.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND BRING ANY DISCREPANCIES TO THE ATTENTION OF THE GENERAL
CONTRACTOR.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL UNALTERED PORTIONS OF THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AS NECESSARY. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DAMAGE TO THE EXISTING WORK.
EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF DUST BARRIERS AT ANY EXISTING INTERIOR LOCATION
AFFECTED BY THEIR WORK. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXTERIOR BARRIERS REQUIRED TO
PREVENT DEBRIS ETC. FROM FALLING ON PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE.
IN THE EVENT THAT THE NOTES, DRAWINGS AND/OR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS DESCRIBE DIFFERING REQUIREMENTS, THE MOST
STRINGENT REQUIREMENT SHALL APPLY. DISCREPANCIES TO BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT.
DETAILS NOT SHOWN ARE ASSUMED TO BE SIMILAR IN CHARACTER TO THOSE DETAILED OR IN THE CASE OF AN ADDITION TO AN
EXISTING STRUCTURE, ALL DETAILS SHALL MATCH EXISTING. WHERE SPECIFIC DIMENSIONS, DETAILS, OR DESIGN INTENT CANNOT BE
DETERMINED, CONSULT THE GC AND OR ARCHITECT BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK.
DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. USE FIGURED DIMENSIONS ONLY. LARGE SCALE DETAILS GOVERN OVER SMALL SCALE.
SUBSTITUTIONS MAY BE PERMITTED ONLY AFTER THE ARCHITECT AND GC REVIEW AND APPROVE OF SUBMITTALS, SAMPLES OR
SPECIFICATIONS FOR ITEMS TO BE SUBSTITUTED.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTOR TO SCHEDULE AND RECEIVE ALL NECESSARY GOVERNMENTAL
APPROVAL FROM THE JHA AS REQUIRED FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE WORK.
EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL
THIS CONTRACTOR WILL STRIP BLACK DIRT, IF ANY, FROM THE BUILDING SITE AND STOCKPILE IT ON THE LOT FOR FINISH GRADING,
REFER TO CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAWING FOR LOCATION IF APPLICABLE. THEY WILL EXCAVATE TO THE ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THE
PLAN. IF FIRM BEARING SOIL IS NOT REACHED AT THESE ELEVATIONS THEY WILL CEASE WORK AND NOTIFY THE GC AND AN
ASSESSMENT OF THE CONDITIONS WILL BE MADE AS TO A MEANS BY WHICH FOUNDATIONS MAY BE PROPERLY SUPPORTED.
ADDITIONAL COSTS INVOLVED, IF ANY, TO OVERCOME SUBSTANDARD SOIL CONDITIONS SHALL BE THE OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY,
WHO WILL BE INFORMED AS TO PROCEDURE AND COSTS. ANY CORRECTIVE MEASURES INITIATED WILL BE DONE TO MEET THE JHA
APPROVED SOIL STANDARDS.
AFTER FOUNDATIONS ARE IN PLACE, THE FOOTING DRAIN TILE INSTALLED, THE WALLS DAMP PROOFED AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT
INSPECTIONS MADE AND APPROVED, THIS CONTRACTOR WILL BACKFILL TO WITHIN 6" OF THE TOP OF THE FOUNDATION, LEVEL THE
AREA FOR CONSTRUCTION, AND HAUL AWAY ANY EXCESS MATERIAL. BACKFILL SHALL NOT BE PLACED AGAINST THE WALL UNTIL
THE WALL HAS SUFFICIENT STRENGTH AND HAS BEEN ANCHORED TO THE FLOOR ABOVE, OR HAS BEEN SUFFICIENTLY BRACED TO
PREVENT DAMAGE BY BACKFILL.
ALL FILL SHALL BE PLACED IN LAYERS NOT EXCEEDING 9" AND SHALL BE COMPACTED TO A MINIMUM DENSITY OF 95% UNDER
FOOTINGS AND 90% UNDER SLABS AND PAVEMENTS AND OBTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM D1557 COHESIVE SOILS OR
SPECIFIED IN THE SOILS REPORT.
THE CONTRACTOR WILL ALSO, AT THIS TIME, INSTALL A GRAVEL TEMPORARY APPROACH DRIVE TO THE BUILDING.
AT THE TIME OF FINISH GRADING, GRADE THE SITE TO THE ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED SITE PLANS AND FORM THE
DRIVEWAY FOR INSTALLATION BY OTHERS.
ALL TREES TO REMAIN WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA WILL BE PROTECTED WITH SNOW FENCING AT THE DRIP LINE.
PROVIDE 6" OF GRAVEL OVER 6 MIL VAPOR BARRIER BENEATH ALL FINISH DECK AREAS OR AS PER APPROVED LANDSCAPING
PLANS.
ALL GRADING WILL CONFORM TO FINAL APPROVED SITE GRADING PLANS.
LANDSCAPING
ALL LANDSCAPING WORK INCLUDING FINAL CLEANUP OF THE EXTERIOR AND FINISH GRADING OF TOP SOIL, SOD, TREES, BUSHES,
EXTERIOR DRAIN TILE HOOK UP TO THE GUTTERS, EXTERIOR GROUND LIGHTING, PAVING BRICK SIDEWALKS, STOOPS, AND PATIOS
ARE NOT A PART OF THIS CONTRACT.
CONCRETE
THIS CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ALL LABOR AND MATERIAL TO INSTALL FOOTINGS, PIERS, FOUNDATIONS, FLOORS, PORCHES,
PADS, WALKS AND PATIOS AS SHOWN ON THE BUILDING PLANS AND AS REQUIRED BY CODE.
CONCRETE SHALL COMPLY WITH THE ASTM - STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR READY MIX CONCRETE AND THE LATEST EDITION OF
ACI 318 & 301
REINFORCING BARS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A615 GRADE 60. ALL WELDED WIRE FABRIC SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A185.
ALL CONCRETE USED SHALL HAVE A COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF 3500 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH AT THE END OF 28 DAYS.
EXTERIOR SLAB CONCRETE SHALL BE AT 4000 LBS. PER SQUARE INCH AFTER 28 DAYS. A MAXIMUM WATER CONTENT OF 5 1/4
GALLONS PER BAG OF CEMENT SHALL BE OBSERVED. NO MIXTURE SHALL BE LESS THAN 5 BAGS OF CEMENT PER CUBIC YARD OF
CONCRETE.
PLACE ALL SLABS ON GRADE WITH AN APPROVED PATTERN AND SEQUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION AND CONTROL JOINTS WITH A
MAX. OF 15'-0" O.C. TO MINIMIZE SHRINKAGE CRACKS.
AT TYPICAL 1 0” THICK 10' POUR FOUNDATION WALLS; TWO #5 STEEL REBAR WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE TOP, MIDDLE AND BOTTOM
OF ALL FOUNDATIONS AS WELL AS ONE #6 VERTICAL REBAR 24” ON CENTER AND 1 ½” FROM THE INSIDE FACE OF THE WALL OR AS
PER SPECIFIC FOUNDATION DETAILS. FOOTINGS SHALL HAVE TWO #5 CONTINUOUS BARS WITH 3” COVER. THEY SHALL BE
LAPPED 24 DIAMETERS AT CORNERS. REINFORCING BARS SHALL BE POSITIONED APPROXIMATELY 8" FROM TOP AND BOTTOM OF
WALL.
ALL FOOTINGS ARE DESIGNED FOR A SOIL BEARING OF 1500 PSF, OR AS SPECIFIED IN THE OFFICIAL SOILS REPORT. FOOTINGS TO
BEAR ON SOLID SOIL REGARDLESS OF DIMENSIONS.
THE BASEMENT FLOOR WILL CONSIST OF 4” OR MORE OF GRAVEL COVERED WITH CONTINUOUS 10 MIL VAPOR BARRIER
AND 4 INCHES OF CONCRETE REINFORCED WITH FIBER MESH. AT AREAS OF HYRDRONIC HEATED SLABS USE 6X6 W2.1 WELDED
WIRE FABRIC. NO VOIDS ALLOWED IN THE VAPOR BARRIER AND ALL OVERLAPS TO BE 10'. SLAB TO BE A LEVEL SURFACE AND
PREPPED FOR FINISH FLOORING MATERIAL.
THE GARAGE FLOOR WILL CONSIST OF 4 OR MORE INCHES OF GRAVEL COVERED WITH 5 INCHES OF CONCRETE REINFORCED WITH
FIBER MESH. SUBSTITUTE 6X6 W2.1 WELDED WIRE FABRIC WHEN FOR HYDRONIC HEATING IS TO BE INTEGRATED.
THE EXTERIOR WALKS, STOOPS, AND PATIOS IF SHOWN WILL CONSIST OF 4” OF CONCRETE (WITH OR WITHOUT PAVERS BY
LANDSCAPER) OVER 4 INCHES OF GRAVEL AND REINFORCED AS NECESSARY.
ALL SLAB ON GRADE AREAS SHALL BE PROOF ROLLED AND ALL SOFT SPOTS ENCOUNTERED SHALL BE REMOVED AND
REPLACED TO FINISHED GRADE WITH APPROVED FILL MATERIAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE PROCEDURE.
A PERFORATED PLASTIC EXTERIOR DRAIN-TILE SYSTEM SET IN WASHED GRAVEL WITH A SILT SOCK WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE
PERIMETER OF THE BUILDING FOOTINGS. GRAVEL SHALL EXTEND AT LEAST 1 2” BEYOND THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE FOOTING
AND 6” ABOVE THE TOP OF FOOTING.
DRAIN TO TERMINATE INTO AN INTERIOR SUMP PIT WITH DISCHARGE TO EXTERIOR ABOVE THE FOUNDATION. PROVIDE SUMP PIT AND
SEALED COVER OR GRAVITY FEED TO DISCHARGE.
NEW CONSTRUCTION RADON RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION REQUIRED WHEN DESIGNATED BY JHA. REFER TO DETAIL ON T1.0 & IRC
APPENDIX F. PROVIDE DEDICATED ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FOR FUTURE FAN.
RISERS WILL BE INSTALLED TO ALL BASEMENT WINDOW WELLS TO 3" BELOW THE WINDOWS AND COVERED WITH PERFORATED
PLASTIC COVERS. AREA WELLS SHALL BE POURED CONCRETE, OR AS PER FOUNDATION DRAWINGS. ALL AREA WELLS WILL BE
FILLED WITH GRAVEL, CLEANED OF DEBRIS AND LEFT IN A CONDITION THAT ALLOWS RAIN WATER TO FLOW INTO THE DRAIN RISERS.
WINDOW WELLS TO HAVE POWDER COATED STEEL GRATES INSTALLED FOR FALL PROTECTION. AT EGRESS WELLS, PROVIDE AN
ESCAPE HATCH AND PERMANENTLY INSTALLED LADDER. LADDER TO PROJECT 3” FROM THE WALL WITH MINIMUM 1 2” RUNGS
SPACE NO MORE THAN 1 8” ON CENTER VERTICALLY. LADDER SHALL NOT ENCROACH INSIDE OF WELL MORE THAN 6”. ESCAPE
HATCH SHALL NOT HAVE A LOCKING MECHANISM OR REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE TO ESCAPE.
THIS CONTRACTOR WILL REMOVE ALL EXPOSED WALL TIES AND DAMP PROOF ALL OF THE WALLS AGAINST WHICH EARTH IS TO BE
PLACED WITH DAMP PROOFING AS APPROVED PER IRC R406.2, TOP OF FOOTING TO FINISHED GRADE.
ALL VOIDS IN BASEMENT WALLS WILL BE FILLED WITH PORTLAND CEMENT.
SONOTUBE TUBES SHALL BE USED AT ALL AREAS WHERE A ROUND PIER HAS BEEN CALLED FOR. SONO TUBES TO EXTEND
MINIMUM 48” BELOW THE FINISH GRADE. PROVIDE A 6" GRAVEL FILL OVER 6 MIL VAPOR BARRIER AT ALL DECK AREAS.
PROVIDE CONCRETE PADS FOR OUTSIDE A.C. EVAPORATOR CONDENSERS. PADS TO BE 5” THICK. VERIFY FINAL LOCATION WITH
ARCHITECT, OWNER AND MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.
MASONRY
THIS CONTRACTOR WILL FURNISH ALL MATERIALS AND PERFORM ALL LABOR NECESSARY TO COMPLETE MASONRY WORK ON
SHOWN ON THE BUILDING PLANS. REFER TO LOCAL CODES FOR ANY SPECIFICS REGARDING ROOF SYSTEM ASSEMBLIES.
REFER TO MATERIALS SCHEDULE LOCATED ON EXTERIOR ELEVATION SHEETS FOR FINAL TYPE, COLOR AND LAYOUT.
FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, THE EXTERIOR STONE MASONRY SHALL HAVE BRUSHED JOINTS. A MINIMUM OF TWO 4'X4' ON SITE
MOCK-UPS WILL BE PRODUCED.
FOR ADDITIONS, MATCH THE EXISTING CONSTRUCTION OF THE EXTERIOR BRICK, MORTAR AND JOINTS. PROVIDE SAMPLES OF
BRICK AND MORTAR FOR APPROVAL BY THE OWNER PRIOR TO STARTING WORK.
ALL LINTELS, ANGLES, CHANNELS, ETC. NECESSARY TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE MASONRY WILL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY
THIS CONTRACTOR. LINTELS SHALL BE SHOP COATED WITH A RUST INHIBITIVE PAINT, MADE OF CORROSION RESISTANT STEEL OR
TREATED TO PROVIDE CORROSION RESISTANCE. AT EXPOSED LINTELS, PAINT A FINISH COAT TO MATCH SURROUNDING MASONRY.
MASONRY VENEER SHALL BE ANCHORED TO THE SUPPORTING WALL WITH CORROSION RESISTANT METAL TIES. REFER TO IRC FOR
REQUIREMENTS.
A METAL DRIP EDGE IS TO BE INSTALLED AT THE FOUNDATION LEDGE
MASON TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL FLASHING WITH WEEPS AT, BUT NOT LIMITED TO; BENEATH THE FIRST COURSE, OPENING HEADS,
OPENING SILLS, ROOF TO WALL INTERSECTIONS, POINTS OF SUPPORT INCLUDING FLOORS, SHELF ANGLES, LINTELS AND AS PER IRC.
ALL MASONRY FIREPLACES WILL HAVE A CAST IRON DAMPER, BASEMENT CLEAN OUT AND BE EQUIPPED WITH A GAS LOG LIGHTER.
FIREPLACES SURROUNDS WILL BE AS PER ELEVATIONS. WHEN NO ELEVATIONS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED, AN ALLOWANCE SHALL BE
INCLUDED.
HEARTH STONE WILL BE AS PER PLAN AND INSTALLED FLUSH WITH FINISHED FLOOR UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
ALL CHIMNEY POTS AND CAPS TO BE PER ELEVATIONS AND/ OR DETAILS.
THE MASONRY WILL BE CLEANED PER MANUFACTURER'S SPECS AND ALL DEBRIS REMOVED AT THE COMPLETION OF THE JOB.
EXTERIOR STONE VENEER FACADE
● UNDERLAYMENT: STRUCTURAL WOOD PANELS WITH MINIMUM 1 /2” THICKNESS. BUILDING PAPER AND 1 ” AIRSPACE

● UNDERLAYMENT: STRUCTURAL WOOD PANELS WITH MINIMUM 1 /2” THICKNESS. BUILDING PAPER AND 1 ” AIRSPACE
● BRICK: RECLAIMED CHICAGO COMMON BRICK FROM COLONIAL BRICK COMPANY OR ILLINOIS BRICK COMPANY

OTHER WAYS ALTER EXISTING WORK IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE NEW WORK REQUIREMENTS. WIRING EXTENDING THROUGH
REMODELED AREAS BUT SERVING LOADS WHICH MUST REMAIN SHALL BE REROUTED AS REQUIRED, AND RECONNECTED TO THOSE
LOADS. WHERE EXISTING OUTLETS, SWITCHES, AND LIGHTING DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH NEW CONSTRUCTION, THEY SHALL REMAIN,
AND BE RECONNECTED, IF REQUIRED, INTO THE CIRCUITING. SOME OF THE OUTLETS, SWITCHES AND LIGHT FIXTURES INDICATED ON
THE DRAWINGS MAY BE TO REMAIN. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING ELECTRICAL IN THE FIELD.
WHERE EXISTING CONDUIT, WIRE, SUPPORTS, HANGERS AND OTHER ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MUST BE REMOVED AS A RESULT OF
THE ALTERATIONS, THEY SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED, BACK TO FIRST CONNECTION WHICH IS LEFT UNAFFECTED BY THE
REVISION.
THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY SIZES OF ALL BASE TRIM, CASINGS AND BUILT-INS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF OUTLETS,
SWITCHES AND FIXTURES ETC. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. ALL CONFLICTS SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT
AND GENERAL CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
ALL METAL PIPING SYSTEMS, METAL PARTS OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, AND PUMP MOTORS ASSOCIATED WITH THE WHIRLPOOL
TUB SHALL BE BONDED TOGETHER USING COPPER BONDING JUMPER NO SMALLER THAN #8 SOLID. NEC 680-74

GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL INCLUDE ALL ARCHITECTURAL PLANS AND DETAILS, ALL ENGINEERING PLANS, AN "AS BUILT"
FOUNDATION SURVEY BY A REGISTERED ILLINOIS LAND SURVEYOR, PERMITS, CONNECTION FEES, STAKE OUT, CLEAN UP,
DUMPSTERS AND WINDOW WASHING PRIOR TO MOVE IN.
