Project Introduction:
We plan to install an in -ground gunite pool and spa. The construction of this project will
be completed by Blue Haven Pools.The proposed pool size is 18 ft X 40 Ft with an 8ft x
8 ft hot tub extending off of the shallow end of the pool.
Statement of Variance Request:
In accordance with the Grannon Grove PUD, Section 4.2 F, there is only an allotment of
35% occupancy of structures on our lot. We currently are requesting a variance to
increase the lot coverage allowance to 45% to allow for adequate patio and surround
concrete around the pool. At present we can only place an additional 230 sq ft of
concrete around the pool with current lot coverage. We are requesting this variance to
ensure we have adequate walkways for the safety of all around the pool.
Statement of Support:
We are seeking support of this project because it aids in promoting health and wellness
for our family. I am a health care professional and I use the pool for physical therapy
and the hot tub for muscle tension and stress reduction. We do not have a community
pool and this past summer our local community pool did not have any available
memberships. Obtaining time outside of the work schedule to attend a public pool
during lap swimming is often a challenge and it does not provide privacy or a quiet
environment. We will ensure privacy is provided to all neighboring properties by
planting trees in the corners of the pool on the back side as requested by the HOA.

MaxFlo VS 500 Variable Speed Pump
Hayward’s MaxFlo VS 500 variable speed pump delivers incredible energy savings via its advanced
hydraulic design combined with a totally enclosed, permanent magnet motor. MaxFlo VS 500 is easily
installed either as a programmable stand-alone pump or with a Hayward or third party controller and
features an easy-to-use digital control interface that can be mounted in four different positions on the
pump or removed and mounted on the wall for total user convenience.
Note: To prevent potential injury and to avoid unnecessary service calls, read this manual carefully and

I would like to inform you that the Architectural Review Committee has *conditionally
approved your request for the following item(s):
Install a 20’ x 40’ Gunnite pool with landscaping at rear of yard.
*Conditions as follows:
1. In order to be certain you are not encroaching into the Rear Yard Setback, the ARC
committee will need a copy of the official site plan submitted to the City required to
obtain a pool permit.
2. The landscaping plan in the back yard should include trees that have a specified
size. Along the property line, Evergreens 8’-10’ tall should be planted for privacy.
Deciduous trees are okay to plant in the back yard as long as but must be 2-3”
caliper. A landscaping plan with this information is required by the ARC committee.
It is your responsibility to obtain any necessary permit and follow the guidelines mandated
by the county, city or state and to be sure all improvements are within your property lines
and setbacks.
