Dear Mr. Speidel: At the meeting held on Monday, August 22, 2022, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variances (V) request filed by you for the property located at 11010 Timber Lane: APPROVED: Speidel Residence Variances - Development Standards Variance approval for: • Docket No. PZ-2022-00129 V: Minimum 25-ft side yard aggregate required, 20-ft aggregate granted, • Docket No. PZ-2022-00130 V: Minimum 35-ft front yard setback required (50-ft platted), 34’11” granted. Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is August 22, 2025. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
