Dear Mr. Federau:
The Carmel Plan Commission Commercial Committee took the following action at its meeting on
February 6, 2018 regarding an application seeking approval to install two wall signs on a residential
building that has been converted to a multi -tenant, multi -level property. Additionally, there will be new
landscaping and new paint on a portion of the 2nd floor exterior. The site is located at 10620 N College
Ave and is zoned B-1. It is located within the Home Place Business District Overlay Zone.
APPROVED with Conditions: 10620 N College Ave — Docket No. 17120027 Signage
1. Install two bicycle racks at the site that meet City standards.
2. Remove the crimson paint from the second story fagade. The new color should be
complimentary to the existing building.
In order to assist the Department's review, please attach a copy of this letter when submitting application
for any permits regarding the improvements contained within this approval.

Please see my remarks below in RED.
Lighting specs (must be face lit to match existing sign on this building): The sign is a Front‐Lit LED Channel Letter
Sign mounted on Raceways. This has been mentioned in the Existing Sign Proof that I sent you.
Trim and Return colors: Blue for Jackson Hewitt and Black for TAX SERVICES.
Specify that Raceway will be painted to match building: This will be done.
Please provide Height from ground to bottom of sign: Updated Proof attached with height from ground.
Note for you:
For painting the raceways to match the façade, we will need the color details from the landlord. The signs will have to be
moved back to our shop, raceways cleaned and prepped for painting, primed and painted and moved back for install.
This will be a 2 day process and will cost about $350.00.
