HomeMy WebLinkAboutStatement of Difficulties and HardshipCooper Pool Equipment Location Statement of difficulties and hardship: We are requesting our pool equipment to be placed 6’ off of the northern property line. The original proposed location was 29’ off the southern property line. This location would be right in front of our driveway leaving an always present opportunity to hit the equipment with an automobile. Furthermore, the pool equipment would be seen from the street. Our requested position would be out of the way of any vehicles and not be able to be seen from the street. The proposed new 6’ location would be a safer place regarding utilities. The pump and heater require both gas and electricity. The original location at 29’ off the southern property line would cause piping, wiring, etc. to be trenched from one side of the house to the other. This would go over the main powerline to our house. The newly proposed location would have the equipment being placed next to our AC unit in very close proximity to the needed utilities. The neighbor to our north has their pool equipment off their southern property line. Our proposed location will be near where their equipment is located. Both the north side of our house and the south side of 12115 Castle Row Overlook have no windows, doors, or outdoor living spaces. Furthermore, all adjacent neighbors have signed their support in this location (see below). The pool equipment is some of the newest programable multispeed pumps built to be quiet and efficient. These pumps run quiet and only as needed. This is a variable speed pump requiring water to be turned over only 2 to 3 times a day, so the pump will run at a whisper. See attached brochure. This request will allow our family and neighbors to enjoy our home and new pool in a more quiet, aesthetically pleasing environment in the beautiful Brookshire neighborhood. We appreciate your consideration and hope you will support this request.
