PZ-2022-00159 V, PZ-2022-00161 V: King Residence Variances (House Width & Height) Dear Mr. Hefton: At the meeting held on Monday, September 26, 2022, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (DSV) requests filed by you for the property located at 401 1st Ave NE: APPROVED: King Residence Variances: Development Standards Variance approvals for: • Docket No. PZ-2022-00159 V: Maximum 55’ house width allowed, 80’ granted, and • Docket No. PZ-2022-00161 V: Buildings shall not exceed the height of the tallest dimension of the nearest 2 Character Buildings by more than 7’, 12’ granted (as amended). Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is September 26, 2025. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
