Petitioners: This petition for Primary and Secondary Plat approval is for approximately 8.07 acres located in the 11800 block of North Meridian Street. This property was the subject of a DP/ADLS petition known as MARRIOTT SUITE HOTELS that was approved by the Commission on April 18, 2000, for the development of a Residence Inn and a Springhill Suites. On June 23, 2001, approximately 5.65 acres of the 8.07-acre tract was sold to CARRES, LLC (CARRES), as the site for the two approved hotels, and Meridian Mile Associates, L.P. (MMA) retained ownership of the residual acreage, approximately 1.5 acres. Construction has started on the two hotels, and CAR RES now wishes to split the hotel site into two separate properties in order to make the sites more marketable. MMA, a member of CARRES, is also requesting that the hotel site be split in two, with the proposed subdivision resulting in three separate lots as outlined in the plans contained herein. Petitioners are requesting that the Commission suspend the rules and approve both the Primary and Secondary Plats at this hearing since 1) the development of this site, which is the subject of this petition, was previously reviewed, studied and approved as a part of the DP/ADLS process in the spring of 2000, and 2) no changes to the DP/ADLS are being proposed herein other than to split the hotel site into two separate lots to allow the hotels to be operated and/or owned separately in the future. o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o MERIDIAN MARK III WATER, SANITARY & DRAINAGE A. WATER SYSTEM Domestic water service will be provided by the Indianapolis Water Company from an existing 12 inch main along the West side of North Pennsylvania Street. B. SANITARY SYSTEM The sanitary service for the proposed development will be provided by Clay Township Regional Waste District from an existing 8 inch gravity main along the West side of North Pennsylvania Street. . c.
