The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmc] ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.! and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall bc "opcn trench" inspected and aporovcd by the Carmel Sewer Department before any backfillinQ is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial ofwatcr conncctions.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be pernlitted to enter thc public sewcr.
Sewer insoections should bc requestcd at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advancc.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with thc CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
must he cut. a senaratc street cut nermit shall he ohtainerl.
