Hello Dixie:
I just got back, so I can assume you got our first e-mails. 50% deposit will
be fine as stated in the invoice.
We will need 4-5 weeks for completion.
Our original agreement was for us to not take out the old signs and was
never quoted.
I can get someone to take them out and will get you a bid if you need it.
Besides removing the old signs the electric must be moved or capped. It
will possibly have to be modified for the new signs, i.e. moved out some.
We will construct all the fencing and posts of 3116" cold rolled steel, it
will have rust preventative primer and be powder coated in black, high grade
rust preventative paint. You should get 20 years out of it with no
maintenance.
The posts can be set as deep as you want, I would recommend only going 30"
as more will not be necessary. We will set it in concrete. If you want them
deeper and longer, just let me know.
I also agree the posts should be 5-6" in diameter. J recommend 5" to keep it
in scale.
The fence sections will be attached to the posts with galvanized fasteners
in case we would ever need to remove the center panels for repair,
vandalism, etc without taking out posts.
The signs are HDU (high density urethane) hand carved with Porter 515
bonding primer, Porter 800/900 top of the line acyrylic paints, gold is 23k
German Gold Leaf. We are giving you a 10 year warranty on signs, and they
should give you up to 20 years service before being repainted etc, of course
this depends-On weather, road salt, etc.
