A. COORDINATE EXTENT OF DEMOLITION WORK WITH ALL NEW
CONSTRUCTION, AS INDICATED IN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
B. THESE DEMOLITION NOTES REPRESENT SURVEYED SPACES
BEFORE DEMOLITION WORK. LOCATION OF CASEWORK,
COUNTERS, ETC. WITHIN THESE DOCUMENTS MAY NOT BE
COMPLETELY ACCURATE.
C. FIELD VERIFY EXACT SIZES AND LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING
WORK PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. CONTACT THE ARCHITECT
IN THE EVENT OF CONFLICTS.
D. ALL DEMOLITION ITEMS SHALL BE CONSIDERED PROPERTY
OF THE OWNER UNTIL VERIFICATION HAS BEEN MADE AS TO
ITEMS TO BE RETAINED, PRIOR TO REMOVAL FROM THE SITE.
ALL ITEMS NOT TO BE RETAINED SHALL BE REMOVED FROM
THE SITE BY THE CONTRACTOR.
E. CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
TO INSURE THAT THE BUILDING REMAINS WATERTIGHT AND
SECURE AT ALL TIMES.
F. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL TEMPORARY PARTITIONS
AND DOORS AS DEEMED NECESSARY BY ARCHITECT AND
OWNER TO AVOID MIGRATION OF DUST INTO ADJOINING AND
OCCUPIED AREAS.
G. PROTECT ALL EXISTING STRUCTURAL SUPPORTS.
H. MAKE ALL DEMOLITION CLEAN AND COMPLETE AND IN A
MANNER SUITABLE TO ACCEPT NEW FINISHES AND/OR
SURFACES.
I. WHEN DEMOLITION CAUSES OR EXPOSES DAMAGE TO
EXISTING SLAB, FLOOR, WALL OR CEILING SURFACES WHICH
WILL REMAIN EXPOSED IN THE FINISHED WORK, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR AND LEVEL SUCH CONDITIONS
AS REQUIRED.
J. REMOVE EXISTING FLOOR, WALL AND CEILING FINISHES
WITHIN BOUNDARY OF PROJECT SUITE. PROTECT ALL
EXISTING CORRIDOR INTERIOR FINISHES TO REMAIN.
K. WHERE ANY EXISTING PIPING OR DUCTWORK IN FLOORS,
WALLS OR CEILINGS IS TO BE REMOVED OR RELOCATED, FILL
IN PENETRATION OPENINGS FLUSH WITH AND OF THE SAME
MATERIALS.
L. REFERENCE STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL, PLUMBING AND
ELECTRICAL DEMOLITION DRAWINGS FOR ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION.
M. REMOVAL OF ANY ASBESTOS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
OWNER. NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT IF SUCH MATERIAL IS
DISCOVERED DURING DEMOLITION OPERATIONS.
N. DASHED LINES INDICATE TO REMOVE WALLS, DOORS,
FRAMES AND ASSOCIATED ITEMS COMPLETE.
DEMOLISH PORTION OF EXISTING WALL AS REQUIRED TO
ACCOMMODATE NEW CONSTRUCTION. PATCH AND REPAIR
ALL EXISTING ADJACENT SURFACES TO REMAIN.
REMOVE EXISTING FRAME, DOOR, AND / OR WINDOW
COMPLETE.
REMOVE EXISTING CASEWORK AND / OR COUNTERTOP
COMPLETE. VERIFY OWNER'S INTENT OF ITEMS TO BE
RETAINED, PRIOR TO REMOVAL FROM THE SITE.
EXISTING COUNTERTOP AND SINK TO REMAIN. PROTECT

· THE PROJECT CONSTRUCTION AREA SHALL BE ISOLATED
WITH RIGID, DUST-PROOF, FIRE RATED BARRIER WALLS AND
A GASKETED DOOR AT ENTRY LOCATIONS AND WALL
PENETRATIONS.
· THE TEMPORARY WALLS SHALL BE SOUND REDUCING
WHERE POSSIBLE.
· DESIGNATED ENTRY AND EXIST PROCEDURES SHALL BE
DEFINED WITH EGRESS PATHS KEPT FREE AND DEBRIS.
TEMPORARY SIGNAGE SHALL BE INSTALLED TO DIRECT
PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AWAY FROM THE CONSTRUCTION
AREA.
· AIR SYSTEM FLOW SHALL BE NEGATIVE TO THE
SURROUNDING AREAS AND VENTILATED AS REQUIRED TO
PREVENT ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION. EXISTING
VENTS TO REMAIN OPERATIONAL DURING CONSTRUCTION
SHALL BE COVERED WITH HEPA FILTER MATERIAL.
