This item does not need to be on any meeting agenda of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). 2. All Mailed, Posted, and Published Public Notice needs to occur by Friday, Nov. 18 (but may occur earlier). Due to the site’s area zip code, the published notice (legal ad) is required within The Current in Carmel*; please contact them at least 14 days prior to that in order for them to publish it on time (317-489-4444 or legals@youarecurrent.com). The mailing of letters to adjoining property owners & placement of public hearing sign on the subject property is also required by the BZA Rules of Procedure, Article VI, Section 6 (see Handout/Application and see Calendar). Make sure the public notice meeting time in the newspaper, on the sign, and in letters to neighbors reads 5:15 PM nd and that the location on the legal ad and mailings read: Carmel City Hall, 2 Flr Caucus Rooms, 1 Civic Sq, Carmel, IN 1 46032. And, the location on the sign can just read Carmel City Hall. (Please refer to the Handout for a template of wording to use for the legal ad and the mailings.) 3. The Filing Fee, as well as 3 paper copies + 1 digital copy of the BZA Info Packet, must be delivered to BZA administrative assistant Joe Shestak no later than Noon, Friday, Nov. 18. The filing fee should be delivered to Joe, or the fee can be called in and paid via credit card (with a small processing fee). Failure to submit the Fee and Informational Packets by this time will result in the automatic tabling of the petition. Please include the following in your BZA Info Packet: a) Short memo/letter introducing the project b) Statement of Variance requests (short paragraph explaining what you are asking for) c) Statement of Support (short paragraph explaining reasons supporting the requests, including analysis and comparison of what is allowed vs. what is proposed) d) Location Map e) Reductions of all plans (site plan, aerial photo of site, garage design details, landscape plan, etc. on 8.5”x11” or 11”x17” size). f) Page 7 of handout/application – Findings of Fact sheets (question sheet filled out for each variance request, statements completed) g) Any other pertinent information for the Board to explain this request (such as neighbor letters/emails of support, HOA approval, etc.). 4. The Proof of Notice needs to be received by this Department no later than Noon, Wednesday, Nov. 23. Failure to submit Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling of the petition. 5. This item will appear on the Monday, Nov. 28 agenda of the Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer meeting under Public Hearings, at 5:15 PM. (This will be an In-Person meeting.) 6. Either the Petitioner or someone representing the Petitioner must attend the meeting to present the item to be heard. If no one appears, it will be tabled. 7.
