HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter #30 Janie Wild Shestak, Joe From:Janie Wild <janiekwild@gmail.com> Sent:Monday, November 21, 2022 3:15 PM To:Shestak, Joe; Worrell, Jeff; Rider, Kevin D Subject:Request for a vairance to rezone Follow Up Flag:Follow up Flag Status:Completed It has been brought to my attention that a variance request was made by the owner of the property at 44 Horseshoe Lane Carmel, IN 46033. I am in oppostion to this request for variance to rezone the property. I do not feel that such a variance to business zoning is appropriate in the middle of single family residences without more transparency and specific details from the buyer about plans for said property. At a very basic level, is this a for profit business or is this a non profit venture? Is the buyer willing to answer questions and can we have legal input? Many of us are concerned that this might be used as a precedent in future variance requests for business zoning. Is this a legitimate concern? Further, it appears that based upon review of the Amended and Restated Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for Woodland Springs, Section 6.1, all properties shall be used solely for residential purposes. This request appears to be in direct violation of the covenant. Thank you for hearing my point of view on this matter. Sincerely, Janie Wild 3303 Eden Hollow Place, Carmel, IN 46033 1
