TO REQUEST CLARIFICATION. WHERE DRAWINGS ARE IN CONFLICT WITH THEMSELVES
(INCLUDES ALL DRAWINGS, INCLUDING CONSULTANT DRAWINGS), PLEASE NOTIFY THE
ARCHITECT TO REQUEST CLARIFICATION. IN THESE CONDITIONS, THE MOST RESTRICTIVE OR
MOST EXPENSIVE CONDITION PREVAILS. ARCHITECT WILL MAKE THE FINAL DETERMINATION
WHICH CONDITION TO INSTALL IN FIELD. THE ARCHITECT’S DECISIONS ON MATTERS
RELATING TO AESTHETIC EFFECT WILL BE FINAL IF CONSISTENT WITH THE INTENT EXPRESSED IN
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS (INCLUDES DRAWINGS).
C. PARTIAL SETS OF DRAWINGS ARE INCOMPLETE AND SHALL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED NOR UTILIZED
BY THE CONTRACTOR. IT IS THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER’S (OWNER’S / BUILDER’S / ETC.)
RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW AND COORDINATE THE WORK OF ALL CONTRACTORS, TRADES,
AND SUPPLIERS WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT BEFORE COMMENCING ANY
WORK AND TO ASSURE THAT ALL PARTIES ARE AWARE OF ALL REQUIREMENTS, REGARDLESS
OF WHERE THE REQUIREMENTS OCCUR IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
D. ANY AND ALL PENETRATIONS SHALL RECEIVE SEALANT AND APPROPRIATE FLASHINGS TO SEAL
ANY TYPE OF ENERGY LOSS OR WATER INTRUSION. FIRESTOPPING SHALL BE APPLIED IN THE
OPENINGS AROUND PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE-RATED ASSEMBLIES AND THROUGH EACH
FLOOR.
E. VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. NOTIFY THE
ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY OF ANY CONFLICTS PRIOR TO PROCEEDING WITH WORK.
F. DIMENSIONS ARE INDICATED FROM FACE OF COLUMN, FACE OF RAILING, FACE OF
MASONRY, FACE OF STUD, AND EXISTING WALL FINISH UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED. FIELD
VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS. EXTERIOR DIMENIONS OF WALLS ARE FROM FACE OF
SHEATHING.
G. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY AND COORDINATE ALL APPLICABLE DIMENSIONS OF
FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED AND/OR INSTALLED BY OTHERS. CONTRACTOR IS TO
PROVIDE ALL BLOCKING AS NECESSARY TO ATTACH OWNER EQUIPMENT (WHETHER OR NOT
EQUIPMENT IS FURNISHED BY CONTRACTOR.)
H. THE POSTING OF AN OFFICIAL BUILDING PERMIT ON THE JOB SITE IS REQUIRED. CONTRACTOR
IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING ALL PERMITS.
I. THE USE OF THE WORDS "PROVIDE" OR "PROVIDED" IN CONNECTION WITH ANY ITEM
SPECIFIED, IS INTENDED TO MEAN, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THAT SUCH BE FURNISHED AND
INSTALLED, AND CONNECTED WHERE SO REQUIRED.
J. UPON COMPLETION OF PROJECT, OBTAIN ALL FINAL INSPECTIONS AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL
JURISDICTIONS AND FURNISH OWNER WITH EVIDENCE OF ALL SUCH INSPECTIONS AND
CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY.
K. UPON COMPLETION OF PROJECT, PROVIDE OWNER WITH ALL INSTRUCTION MANUALS,
WARRANTIES OR OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE OPERATION OR MAINTENANCE OF
ANY ITEM IN THE CONTRACTOR'S WORK.
L. THESE CONSTRUCTION NOTES AND/OR DRAWINGS ARE SUPPLIED TO ILLUSTRATE THE DESIGN
AND GENERAL TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION DESIRED AND ARE INTENDED TO IMPLY THE FINEST
QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION, MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP THROUGHOUT.
M. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN A CURRENT AND COMPLETE SET OF CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS ON THE SITE DURING ALL PHASES OF CONSTRUCTION FOR USE OF ALL TRADES.
N. ALL MEANS OF EGRESS SHALL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
O. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL EXISTING AND NEW MATERIALS AND FINISHES FROM
DAMAGE WHICH MAY OCCUR FROM CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, PAINT, DUST, WATER,
ETC. ALL SUCH DAMAGE SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE
ARCHITECT AND OWNER AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
P. SCOPE DRAWINGS: THESE DRAWINGS INDICATE THE GENERAL SCOPE OF THE PROJECT IN
TERMS OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CONCEPT, THE DIMENSIONS OF THE BUILDING, THE
MAJOR ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS AND VERY GENERAL TYPE OF STRUCTURAL, MECHANICAL
AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. THE DRAWINGS DO NOT NECESSARILY INDICATE OR DESCRIBE
ALL WORK REQUIRED FOR FULL PERFORMANCE AND COMPLETION OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF
THE CONTRACT. ON THE BASIS OF THE GENERAL SCOPE INDICATED OR DESCRIBED, THE
