It’s such a shame all the trees were cut down on this property! This piece of land could have been developed into a small park or sold to Carmel Clay Schools or the Carmel Dad’s Club. Instead, it’s become a terrible eye sore! It’s my understanding the owner wants to operate an insurance business on the site. I have concerns about the sale of the property because the buyer’s zoning requests seem inappropriate for the location.  Business does not need 17 parking spaces for an insurance business! This is not a grocery store! I can’t imagine their needing 17 parking spaces for staff and clients!  Parking should be located in the rear of the building – not the front.  Sign should be located further away from the street  Only one sign is needed!  Simple lighting should be used to maintain the look of a private residence –lamp post and doorway sconces.
